Unbelievable bargain! September 12, 2008 Canon - Digital camera starter kit What more can I say than "WOW"? For just a little more than the price of the spare battery alone you get a fantastic Canon carry bag and the Haze filter. The only catch is, if you want a small camera bag, this is not the one for you. If, however, you are looking for a camera bag that will carry your camera body, an assortment of lenses, filters, flash, spare batteries and charger and many memory cards, THIS IS THE ONE! I love having an actual Canon bag for my Canon camera and accessories.
I am very happy with this Amazon purchase and would recommend it to friends.
Neceessary and useful September 9, 2008 Great for getting your shutterbug up and running. Spare battery packs? Carrying bag? Both quite necessary. Pick up an extra memory card, and you've got a basic set up for some really great SLR pictures.
Good Bag - But Not Easy To Travel With 3.5 stars September 5, 2008 This was my first time buying a dslr camera bag. Now after having used it for over 6 months i wanted to inform all prospective buyers on my thoughts. The bag is well made, has held up well (just a small fray or 2) and the straps and sippers are sturdy (the shiny part of the clasps are actually metal). There is a lot of space (enough to hold 2 Xti bodies and 4 lenses)for storage. However there are several reasons why you may not want to get this bag. Fist of all, its shape makes it difficult to move around with. So don't plan on taking this one to the zoo for those long shoots, your going o want a backpack style bag for that. Second of the inside of the entire bag is Velcro coated, this allows for the moving of dividers to different shaped partitions in the bag. Though some may consider this a good thing i don't like the idea that some of the Velcro still has the chance to scratch my LCD display,(though this has not happened ... yet) I would view this as a storage bag , primarily for a studio photographer. all in all, if i look back on my purchase,
1) has this been a good bag ? yes 2) has it held up , proportionally to what i payed ? yes 3) is this bag easily movable / comfortable to move for location shoots? no 4) does it have enough space to hold my gear ? yes 5) would i recommend other photographers buy this bag ? If they were a studio photographer yes.
total rating - 3.5 stars
as a side note , the battery is perfect no problems there ever. The filter however is of lower quality , just fine for an enthusiast , but if you want to go pro / semi pro your going to need to replace it.
Built tuff. July 29, 2008 I hesitated slightly on the price but glad I got this bag for my new 400D XTi. You actually get more: A 58mm protective lense filter and another battery-thats a big plus in itself. Besides the ring's and snap's being what looks like polished stainless steel and real sturdy-big, the lid's cover folds down around and over the top. Lot's of storage for a bag that holds my 400D with it's EF-S 18-55mm lense and hood on the camera. You still have several compartment's in the middle for 2 more lenses; even another manual in a compartment just under the lid. This is a pretty tuff little bag. Remember, you also get another battery and that all important protective filter. I'm not sure if the Haze part means much but having a protective lense does. A fair price.
Love it July 29, 2008 The bag is a little big but works great when you go on trips because you can use it as your carry on. The battery of course you always need an extra or I do lol.
