Cameras fitted with normal lights or flashes do not permit us to move farther than a certain maximum distance from the object being photographed generally about 10 feet. this flash WOULD NOT work with the Canon 40D, no matter what they say, it's not compatible. better to spend on a speedlite from Canon.
