Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Universal Receiver is compatible with Elinchrom and other flash brands. Delivered with one Elinchrom standard sync cable and one 3.5 mm jack. The internal, rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides about 30 hours of operation. To maximise battery life, the Auto-Standby function activates if the unit is not used for 4 hours. The Charger can be connected to the mains whilst the Universal Receiver is in operation. The status LED shows charge and operating modes.

Customer Reviews:
pretty darned good August 17, 2008 Though members of my local Flickr group recommended Pocket Wizards, one accomplished photographer pointed me towards this more reasonably priced alternative.
Functionally, it works and it works really well. I have no complaints.
Ergonomically, it could use some help. The push-button for power makes it easy to accidentally turn the unit on and run down the power accidentally. Inconsistencies between the transmitter and receiver ergonomics make it painfully obvious that the controls were a mere afterthought. Also inconsistencies between how the battery is handled (replaceable but non-rechargeable on the transmitter, rechargeable but non-replaceable in the receiver) leave me scratching my head further about what the engineers were thinking. Still, it's a lot less than the Pocket Wizards and for model shoots and portraiture it works just fine.
Excellent and Reliable Product For the Price June 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent product if you want something as reliable as other high end wireless systems on the market. I have both the transmitter and receiver to use during photoshoots. It is so reliable that I take it out confidently on my paid shoots. It is easy to use, and in my tests has 100% reliability firing. No misfires at all.
Great product for the price!
