 Very stylish! May 21, 2008
This lamp is the perfect accessory to my bedroom. The best part? It's really easy to put together! The only bummer? All of the tape and styrofoam mess that comes with the packaging.
Easy assembly, soft light, very attractive April 6, 2008
The lamps hold 3 bulbs and there is only one on/off setting, so I only use one bulb most of the time. A variable switch would be a nice addition, but otherwise these are great lamps. People have been very complimentary.

I bought 2 of these "beauties." I am going to start avoiding Chinese-made products now. They don't work, break, have inferior fit and finish or pose a safety hazard. These do not light up well, they do not accept energy-efficient light bulbs, and are extremely difficult to put together (even with directions).
I believe the nature of the Chinese government is another reason for avoiding Chinese-made goods.
I urge everyone to boycott Chinese-made goods and services!

The product is definately worth the price. I researched these lamps on line and found a significant price difference from other stores ( an $80.00 savings). Now for my personal oppinion, the lamp looks cheap, especially in the daytime hours. Reminds me of something you might find in a college dorm room. The lamp base is wood and is very basic, no character. However, the illumination factor in the evening hours is nice (soft yellow glow). If you are looking for something a bit more elegant, this is not your lamp.

i purchased two of these lamps to decorate a modern living room. i chose these because not only were they perfect size floor lamps, but they double as simple and elegant decor. i get many compliments on them, and even purchased another one for the parlor. i have seen the table lamp version and am planning on getting one of those, too, when i have the perfect place for it. this style of lighting doubles as illumination and decoration. i am very happy with my purchase. just one note, though--if you want pure or white light, the shades will make the glow warm and yellow. i wanted more subtle lighting, but if you want bright, these may not be what you're looking for. even a brighter bulb won't decrease the subtle light it casts.
