Awesome! January 7, 2008 This projector mount is AWESOME!
I'm deducting .5 star for each of two flaws, though I worked around both of them with a little old fashioned tinkering. The first flaw is the set of mount standoffs that were included were too long for the screws included. The second set were too short to get all the way through the standoff and mount into my projector. I just doubled up the number of washers I used to make up the difference, and I was in business. Easy really.
The second thing was that there are three trinagular mount adjustment screws to pitch and tilt the projector to get a perfectly square picture on the screen. They don't really allow enough room to adjust as much as you might need. So, I used some shims between the mounting plate and the ceiling to make up the difference. Once the trim ring was installed you couldn't tell a thing.
Buy this, you'll not be dissapointed. Easy instructions, goes up in about 45 minutes, less if you already know where your studs are. I mounted my Optoma Projector using the small mounting grid on the .5.
