Fun to use October 3, 2008 It's of significant size and not convenient to carry around when traveling. However, it's easy to use and takes good quality pictures.
Finally used it September 9, 2008 I bought this and let it sit for several months, then I finally went on vacation. First off let me say that overall use was easy and that my camera did not get a single drop of water on it throughout a weeks worth of use. I used it on simple snorkel pics and not any serious diving. Overall I like the case and many of the cons below may simply be a learning curve since this was my first time every doing any underwater shoots with any camera.
Pros: My camera never got wet. It was nice being able to take underwater pics. Photos came out nice for me, but I am not a pro. I could change a lot of settings, but not all of them.
Cons: I could not rotate the back dial so I could not change the scene mode. I did not realize this so on the first use I was stuck with the auto settings. The workaround is to set the scene to underwater before the camera goes into the case. The viewfinder was unusable and you have to rely upon the display. That was hard to do and raising the brightness to max but that hampers battery life some. This case is big, I could not use my normal camera bag with this case. Since I was worried about scratching the underwater case cover I was forced to be overly careful when walking around. The case makes the camera float a lot. I did not but the weight kit and wish I had. This made it a little bit harder to take pics. I had the mindset that if I dropped the camera I would rather see it float then sink so did not want the weights ... maybe I should have got them anyway.
MUY BUENA July 25, 2008 ES UN EXCELENTE ADPTADOR PROTEJE MUY BIEN MI CAMARA CANON G7, MAGNIFICO. DIOS LOS SIGA BENDICIENDO MUCHO!!!!!!
Get Vacation Photos You Would Never Dream Of Before July 2, 2008 I have a canon G7 so I purchased the Canon WP-DC11. While it was expensive, I feel it helped me take pictures I never would have tried or achieved without it (at the beach and underwater). In fact, I think the photos I got with this camera are priceless (and some of the best I have ever taken). Therefore, in retrospect, I think that this was a fantastic purchase. Another great feature of this case is that it has all the buttons that the camera has (at least all that I cared about). Therefore, I was able to make any and all adjustments to the camera, even underwater. I was also able to easily check the photo review to see if I actually "got the shot". Another great feature of the case was that I was able to add weights. This is highly advisable. Otherwise you will be fighting to keep the camera underwater as it will want to bob to the surface. The only negative to the case was that it required nightly cleaning and I had to regrease the seal each night. This was not a huge deal, but it was a series of steps that I had to take.
Overall, I really liked the case and would purchase it again.
Keeps things dry April 28, 2008 I have not had the opportunity to take this case diving. As any gadget-freak would do, I took pictures in the bathtub. The images were clear. The issue becomes lighting, but that is not what this device addresses. What it does is keep the camera dry. I like the dual lock on the case to prevent it from accidentally opening. The buttons on the rear of the case to control the dial on the camera will take some getting used to, but that's probably not something I would adjust whilst submerged. The other buttons that control the camera are where you expect them to be and big enough to work even with a pair of gloves on.
