4 out of 5 stars Add tracking to your Orion german mount tripod   September 8, 2004
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

The EQ-3M attaches to your Orion EQ-3 or EQ-2 Tripod's right ascension gear to give you the ability to guide and track when your equatorial german mount tripod is polar aligned. This saves you from constantly adjusting the telescope when observing objects in the night sky. It also comes in handy when you are imaging with your scope on one of these mounts. It helped making mosaics of the moon with a webcam a bit easier. It doesn't match the ease of use of a "GoTo" computerized mount, but its the next best thing, if you just need to track the objects you are observing.
