Product Description The H-20D FlipUp Cap clips into place for Canon 10D and 20D camera by slipping the original eye piece up and off of the camera. Next slide the H-20D FlipUp cap over the eyepiece mounting flanges to cover the entire LCD screen. The cap provides protection for the delicate LCD screen when in closed position.

Gift for my brother July 23, 2008 I'm assuming this worked out well for him. It was on his gift list and he hasn't mentioned anything wrong with it, so I'm guessing he likes it.
Saved my 20D from destruction July 12, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 20D went flying when my girlfriend slipped on wet decking on a trail in a national park in China, she went one way, camera went the other and landed on the back. The Hoodman pop up function broke, the camera was fine (girlfriend ok also)! The LCD cover is still ok, just the pop up feature is gone (spring that opens the door went somewhere under the boardwalk, otherwise it could have been snapped together again) As for not being able to view the LCD easily, there is a protective film over the plastic that needs to be pealed off the unit, otherwise, it is hard to see the screen, w/o the protective cover, works as advertised! (protective film not mentioned in the instructions!!!) Buying a new one today!
Terrible Design-breaks easily December 12, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This cover only attaches at the top (it replaces the viewfinder cover). and can get snagged very easily on the bottom where it is NOT connected to the camera, such as when you put the camera in your bag. Mine is broke, so now the viewfinder piece and the rest of the body are separated. And the two side doors that spring out to hold up the hood when looking at rear LCD are flimsy. One of the side pieces broke at the base after only a few uses (and I'm not rough on my camera equipment). Hoodman needs to provide method to attach to the bottom, even if its some sort of adhesive. I suppose it would be nice if camera makers added some feature to allow for installion of this type of thing, but if they did, it would be proprietary they would charge 3x the price of Hoodman.
