Amazon.com Product Description
For a wireless-savvy cell phone user who demands superior performance and an excellent value, the Motorola H700 Bluetooth Headset offers the best of both worlds. With a compact and comfortable design, the headset delivers longer talk times at a great price. This headset is both discreet and stylish, yet Motorola does not scrimp on functionality. The small size and lightweight construction allows for easy storage when not in use. Just slip the device in your pocket or toss it inside your glove box. Also, don't be fooled by the headset's good looks -- this petite powerhouse provides impressive battery power and an intuitive "flip" microphone boom to clearly pick up your voice. The H700 features lengthy talk and standby times -- up to six hours of talk time or 130 hours of standby time from a single full charge. And included with the headset is a handy, compact travel charger to ensure that you'll never run out of power on the go.

When you use your H700 for the first time, you must pair the headset with your phone. Once your phone recognizes the headset, the H700 is easy to operate -- simply place the headset on your ear, flip the microphone boom to connect, and a link is automatically established. This headset is designed with the BCO3 chipset with echo and noise cancellation software for world class audio quality in even the noisiest environments. Motorola's premium look and feel is highlighted by the H700's award-winning, iconic flip-to-connect design. Connect to an incoming call by simply flipping down the microphone, and disconnect by flipping it back up. This hip, easy-to-use design will make the H700 the envy of any Bluetooth aficionado. Don't stop with just your cell phone; consider pairing the H700 with your Bluetooth-enabled PC for great, hands-free Voice Over IP (VoIP) communications.

Designed for anyone, the adjustable earhook allows the headset to be worn on either the left or right ear. You can also easily control the volume or mute your call directly from the H700. 1 out of 5 stars Great, but poor quality   July 13, 2008
Motorola dropped the bomb on this headset. I have seen MANY people complaining about the boom sensor being faulty and it just recently happened to me. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

1 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware   July 8, 2008
I purchased the Motorola H700 from CCMA Accessories in December 2007. The product was always slow to synch up with my Motorola K1 Krazr phone, but the problem has gotten worse over time, and now the battery is practically dead. The battery's talk time is down to less than one hour, and the battery runs down within a couple days even when the headset is not even turned on. The headset often takes several minutes to synch up with my phone, even if they are placed within inches of each other, and it tends to disconnect spontaneously after a few minutes of use.

The bottom line is "watch out" for this product from this vendor.

1 out of 5 stars Bad Bluetooth   July 6, 2008
I purchased this due to the laws enforced in chicago where you must use a handsfree while driving, and i'm sorry i picked this one. I get nothing but complaints from whomever i am talking with. I almost always have static also, i can have the phone on my lap and still have static. I never have the phone far from the bluetooth. It's a pricey little bugger too! So one would assume the quality would be good, but its not. I also work for a retail cellular company and i see this headset returned over and over. Also many of my associates have the complaint about this product. If you want great sound go get your self a jawbone headset!!

5 out of 5 stars It'll change your life!   June 18, 2008
Best money I have spent in a long time on an electronic device. I leave this thing on my ear so much that it has become another appendage. My wife even has a name for it. She calls it "BT". When I first used it, people couldn't hear me very well, but then I figured out that you have to make sure it's "installed" properly on your ear. Get it on there nice and snug! It works better that way. Motorola claims it is resistant to wind noise but I don't really think so. The best trick I've learned is to cup your hand over the headset and block the wind. (The mic pics up your voice from your jaw bone not your mouth.)

Other features that I really like about it: cool light that changes color based on level of charge (Red->Yellow->Green), blue light that blinks when it is on and connected to your phone (it looks really cool at night like you're Buck Rogers or something), super long battery life, compact folding style, extremely reliable and pairs easily with phone.

Negatives: as I mentioned wind noise filtering is not great but I have a work-around for that; range away from phone is not very far (10 ft realistically)

I highly recommend this device. I found it on [...] in a retail box. The value of the product greatly exceeds the price I paid for it, so I am extremely satisfied!

5 out of 5 stars Happy with it. Be very carefull about fake and cheap H700 or H500   June 12, 2008
I never used bluetooth set before, but I am happy with H700 that I purchased.

Be very carefull about buying from E-bay. If it is too cheap, it could be a fake one. There are lots of fake motorola H500 and H700 sets in Ebay. Do your google search 'fake motorola bluetooth h700' You will find lots of complaints from the people who bought a fake set. It also tells you how to tell the difference. I almost returned my H700 I got from Costco, when I first found out that it's much cheaper on ebay. Then I noticed that most of those sets under $30 on ebay are not real ones.

I decided to keep mine and am very happy with it. What I know is, fake ones perform so bad (static noise, short range, etc) that you cannot even use it. I am wondering about those people who left one or two star ratings here. Where did they buy their unit ? Do they know that they might have a fake one ? Flip the plastic earhook the other way . If you don't find word "MOTOROLA " , no serial number or a little check mark symbol in the back (just below the speaker), it's a fake one !!
