Amazon.com Product Description
If you have a Bluetooth phone that supports stereo headsets, it's time to start moving with your music. These comfortable, simple-to-operate Bluetooth Stereo Headphones let you enjoy hours of hands-free, wire-free listening. And with your compatible phone you can quickly switch from listening to music to wirelessly answering calls on your headphones, so you'll never miss a beat.

With the HT820 headphones, you can do even more than listen to stereo music from your phone. You can stream music from your PC, home stereo, or MP3 player with a phone that supports Bluetooth 1.2, as well as the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and the Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). The headphones provide a hands-free, wire-free connection up to 10 meters (30 feet) from a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone or other Bluetooth device.

Weighing just 100 grams, and featuring a comfortable and ergonomic design, these headphones are designed for all day use. Intuitive controls, which include music buttons on the right earpiece, and call buttons on the left earpiece, make it easy to control your music and your calls. An embedded microphone handles voice communication, allowing you to use the HT820's just like a regular Bluetooth headset. The rechargeable internal batttery offers approximately 17 hours of talk time and approximately 500 hours of standby time. You also get approximately 12 hours of music listening time on a single charge. So get moving!

The headphones are covered by a one year warranty.

5 out of 5 stars Decent sound, comfortable, easy to use   July 26, 2008
I bought the HT820 stereo headset so I could start using my T-Mobile Wing as a music player. I've been watching bluetooth stereo headsets for the past year, and when this one dropped to $35 I jumped on it. Good choice.

Setup was dead simple. Charge it (3 hours), turn on bluetooth on your device, then press-hold the left button on the headset for 6 seconds. Then pair the headset with your device (passcode 0000, as usual). The headset has blue leds that flash every couple seconds. You can disable this by holding the forward/reverse buttons down together for about 6 seconds. The flashing will not resume, even after power off, until you repeat the process. I recommend this so as not to look like a complete dork while you're wearing the headset.

To answer the phone while the headset is on you just tap the left button. You can skip forward/backward through your music playlist with small buttons on the right side, and you can play/pause using the large button on the right side. It's all very easy and convenient.

Motorola claims 10 hours on a charge. That has been about right - I haven't completely discharged mine, but I started to notice a few cut-outs after 8 or 9 hours.

The signal is clear. I carry my phone in my front shirt pocket, so signal distance is not very far. I have noticed some cutouts if I turn my head all the way to the right - the bluetooth receiver must be in the right-side.

Sound quality is pretty good, and volume range is very acceptable. I do have to turn output volume in Windows Media player to about 85-90%, but at that level I'm able to get the headset volume to adequate levels even in relatively noisy environments.

Though this is not an issue with the headset, I can tell you that battery usage on the T-Mobile Wing is greatly impaired when bluetooth + Windows Media Player are on. You can practically watch the battery meter go to zero. 6 hours max. Fortunately, the phone charges via USB, so I just plug it into my laptop while I'm working.

Anyway - I would recommend this as a convenient, comfortable, and good sounding stereo headset for portable use.

4 out of 5 stars Great headset   July 23, 2008
I'm using this headset with a T-Mobile Wing that also works as my MP3 player. Also using it for my laptop and home PC. Great sound and so far has been very dependable. The only issue I had was with connecting to my laptop, after a quick update from Dell the headset has worked great. Use it all day at work.

3 out of 5 stars For it's intended use, good but...   July 21, 2008
When I got this product in the mail, when I took it out, the very first thing I noticed was how enormous the headphones were. I didn't realize this when I ordered them because the photos always show these earphones at a certain angle. The reason why I bought these was to have a wireless solution to listening to music on the street and on the subway here in New York. If I were to grade this based on the use of this product, then I would give this product 4 stars. It worked well with my phone.

However, being a shallow New Yorker, I was too self-conscious to wear these out in public because they're so large. There is at least an inch of headphone that juts out of your ear. Not only that, it's tagged with a huge Motorola M logo on it. So for those who don't mind having huge headphones jutting out of your ear, you can get these earphones. As for me, I got rid of these after one use.

4 out of 5 stars Almost perfect, Causes Mac to go into Kernel Panic   July 21, 2008
I would give it 5 if my computer will stop crashing, I am not sure who's at fault my computer software or the device.

Pros:
Sound quality is impressive, no difference between my set of full headphones and the HT-820.
Easy set-up with a Macbook 10.5.3
Battery life (at least 6 hours...)
Comfortable to wear for long periods of time (4+ hours).
Price (under $40).
CON:
After using the headphones for about 6 hours I got a kernel panic, rebooted repair permissions, updated to 10.5.4 and 10 minutes later another one.
Four Kernel Panics total in 2 days. First time ever (16 months) I have suffered a kernel panic in this computer.
I am back to my old wired headphones until I can find a fix and will update the review.

3 out of 5 stars Decent Sound, really uncomfortable   July 17, 2008
Just as others here have said, these headphones are really uncomfortable. I wear these sometime at work to drown out the office while I work, but I can't keep them on for very long because they get very warm on my head and they press my ears down to the point that it gets painful. I also feel ridiculous when I wear them because they look odd... to say the least.

On a good note, battery life is pretty good, and while I'm not an audiophile, the sound compares well with my Bose TriPort In-Ear Headphones.
