Beware !! Does Not Work with Ipod Touch 32GB October 9, 2008 After reading so many great reviews, i decided to purchase the Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter for iPod (Black). All I can say so far is that it does not work at all with Ipod Touch 32GB which I currently own; so if you own a previous Ipod you should be fine (based on other reviews) BUT if you own an Ipod Touch 32GB it simply will not work.
Tiny, functional, sounds great with my Sony Bluetooth Receiver October 3, 2008 The Good
- Tiny - Draws power from the iPod; does not require its own battery - Music remote control commands (previous track, next track, play, pause, fast forward, rewind) work flawlessly with my Apple iPod classic 160 GB and my Sony DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver - Sound is crystal-clear (requires a receiver that supports A2DP music transmission)
The Bad
- Cannot be used while the iPod is under external power, for example during charging (no pass-through dock connector) - Does not fit inside any known iPod case (protection from being snapped off would be useful)
The Bottom Line
I walk a lot, and like to listen to music while walking. I wanted a wireless remote control/headphone solution so that I could leave my iPod in my backpack, carry a small remote control in my hand, and not have my headphones be tethered to my backpack.
I considered alternatives from Panasonic, JVC and MacSense, some of which were more expensive (considering the total price of the transmitter and the receiver), and some of which were a little less expensive. Sony's solution had the best specifications. I am very pleased with it.
Mostly Perfect September 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This connected with relative ease to my Cardo S-2 wireless headphones. In weeks of use, it's never fallen out of my Touch and transmission has been nearly seamless. (It gave out near a passing light rail, but then came back)
My only qualm is that when inserted into the device, it causes my iSkin to rise up around it, rather than stay tight on the Touch. A minor problem indeed.
Also, it does eat up the device's charge, so it's necessary to remove it after a while and charge up. But, again, a minor nuisance.
Worked as expected September 22, 2008 Well i looked all over the internet for this item and found it here of course on amazon. It works like a charm couldn't really be more pleased. it was easy to set up and even better to use. if you want you use your bluetooth headphones with your ipod this is the way to go.
