Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Small enough to fit in your pocket, but with a sound quality that gives an extra boost to the music stored in your phone, these portable speakers are a must for any music lover. Sharing your favorite songs with your friends and family is as easy as this: plug your music mobile phone into the speakers, and enjoy music in stereo wherever you are. Drawing its power from the mobile phone, the MPS-60 is a truly portable music accessory. You can select tracks and adjust the volume through the phone menu. All you need for a successful music experience is your music mobile phone and the MPS-60 (and your favorite music, of course).

5 out of 5 stars Excellent accessory for listening to music from your SE phone   January 4, 2008
These tiny speakers are just what you need for listening to your mp3's from your SE phone. They are small, lightweight, stylish and quite robust. Sound quality is surprisingly rich and full for such small speakers.
Storing and carrying is easy with the included carrying case. They can easily fit in a backpack or large purse.

The only negative atribute I can find in these speakers is that they reproduce low volume when being used outdoors or in large open spaces away from the listener,(ie. at the beach), but that's understandable given their size and the fact that they're passive speakers.

Good sound quality, small, stylish accessory. I highly recommend to anyone with a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone.

3 out of 5 stars Does not work with Radio   January 5, 2007

I am generally satisfied with these speakers, however there is one thing that was quite disappointing. I cannot use them to listen to the radio. The radio funtion in my cellphone K-750i requires an antenna, which is apparently only available in a hands free.

5 out of 5 stars A Delightful, High-Quality Accessory for your Walkman Phone!   September 15, 2006

So you've discovered the joys of being a Walkman owner and are looking to further enhance the joyous experience by also purchasing some "toys" for it. These nifty little speakers are certainly worth your while because they combine impressive sound into a great looking, extremely portable little package.

Good things come in small packages. And yes, I do mean small. These little guys stand only about 2" tall by 1" in width and thickness. They are tastefully designed in charcoal grey with a crisp white front panel and bright orange side stripes and wiring in the color of the SE walkman logo. They arrive in their own little hard plastic carrying case which is a semi-transparent light blue. When returned to their case, everything measures about 5"x2" and can EASILY travel with you in a backpack, purse, or perhaps even your pocket if you're wearing loose fitting jeans. In fact, they really don't take up much more room than a cell phone in itself. Also, there is nothing toyish about the make and durability of them. They do NOT have a cheap plastic look or feel to them. In fact, they are surprisingly robust and look very well made.

As for sound quality, it is simply mandatory that you hear for yourself. Obviously, you cannot compare tiny phone speakers to full blown audio systems with subwoofers or heaping tower speakers, but I think you'll be surprised at the richness of sound, clarity, and loudness of speakers that are only mere inches in height. It is not far fetched to compare the sound to smaller boom boxes, though I was still shocked at the richness even though I am accustomed to listening to my mp3's through 125W 5.1 satellites. The sound is not "tinny," like one might expect.

Essentially, by purchasing these, you are converting your walkman into a micro sized mp3 boombox that is more portable than any of the "real" things and sounds just as nice. You can also still use the radio feature with these plugged in as well. These draw their power from the battery, but I've still gotten several hours of listening time from them at high volume on a full charge. I love being able to toss these into my purse and listen to music at work without headphones(I'm surprised Apple hasn't thought of this.) Plus, it's cool enough to own a walkman phone(w810i,)but the sight of all this SE goodness forming this highly stylized and functional mini-unit is just plain awe-inflicting.

Side Note: At the time of writing this review, Amazon currently had/has posted a second photo of a white desk stand as well. That is NOT what you are getting! These are the two little box speakers that plug into the bottom of the phone, whereas the desk stand is a completely different product called the MDS-60, NOT the MPS-60.
