Verizon Service Options
Getting on the Internet is easy using Verizon's Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Get It Now service.

With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access Verizon's VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps. And Verizon's Chaperone service lets you easily locate your loved ones from your Verizon Wireless phone or PC in real time. After defining a zone, such as an area designating a school or summer camp, you'll be sent an alert via text message when the Chaperone handset enters or leaves the zone.

5 out of 5 stars Great simple little phone-with reservations!   September 13, 2008

9-16-08. I upgraded to this phone because I like it's simple features. It's very small and easy to carry and does not have an external antenna. The camera is so-so however, I didn't buy it for this feature besides, I practically never use a phone camera anyway. The ringtones are very limited but this does not bother me either. The analog clock on the faceplate (this can be changed to digital or clear) is an attractive feature. Everyone I 've talked to since using it come in loud and clear! So far, I've had no problem with it whatsoever and I really do like it! 9-26-08. After using this phone for about 2 wks, I've decided to return to my LG VX8300 for many reasons. The Samsung sounds tinny to me and the ringtones and ring volume is horrible! I could barely hear it ring when it was 10 ft away from me. Another thing that bothered me was when charging this phone at night in a dark room, the front display would light up like a xmas tree and I would have to turn the phone over to block this out. The LG lights up just momentarily then goes dark-much better! Another thing-the battery life is suspect-I don't think it even comes close to the advertised talk time without running down. I can say that it is small, easy to carry and very simple to operate. Other than that, I really can't recommend it. I would rate it at 3 stars instead of 5. The LG is a superior phone in every way!
