 Fit and Audio Quality Compromised October 6, 2008
The concept of this Bluetooth earpiece is fantastic. However, I have returned this earphone and would not accept it for free.
The package comes with multiple ear loops and ear pieces. This is a nice gesture on the part of Jawbone.
I could not get the earpiece to fit properly against my face. This is crucial for the noise cancellation to work. Worse off, if you wear glasses or sunglasses, you will be completely frustrated at any adjustment you make to your specs as this will make the earpiece move out of place. This said, the noise cancellation will not be able to function properly.
The sound is tinny at best. It is difficult to make out who is calling by voice alone. I did find that when I could get the earpiece to fit, the noise cancellation worked rather well. However, the louder the background noise, the more your voice to your caller sounds synthesized and will occasionally break up.
The `talk' button is very sensitive. Any attempt to re-adjust your earpiece during a call in progress easily disconnects your call. This I found to be the most annoying issue with the Jawbone.
For the noise cancellation, you have no idea if it is on or off until the other end states that they are hearing a lot of background noise.
For the iPhone, which I know of, you have to answer the call using the Jawbone in order for the audio to come through the earpiece. If you answer directly on the phone, the audio will be directed through the phone.
 great but delicate October 6, 2008
I have used Bluetooth earpieces since they first came out. Most recently, the Motorola H700, 3 different units. The jawbone 2 is excellent, except for the fact that the over ear piece is very fragile.

The product works just like they claim. The only downside is the earloop can break off easy if you put this in your pockets.
Think Twice Before Purchasing October 4, 2008
I am not satisfied with the overall fit of the Jawbone II. It repeatedly moves and slides out of my ear, thus affecting the noise reduction and ability to recieve the optimal clarity as advertised. I am seriously considering returning this item for a refund!

Not sure why all the negative comments about the controls, they are easy to use and very definitive when activated. Nice touch hiding them. Also the fit is perfect and with three options shouldn't be a problem finding an option that works. Also I use without the ear hook with no problem at all. Unless you are running a marathon it will stay put. The LED is also nice, not obnoxious like some of the others and very clean. The outbound sound is outstanding with NO background noise and crystal clear. I only gave it 4 out 5 because I think the incoming volume could be a touch louder. It seems the level depends on who's calling and the phone they are on. I would say that 95% of my calls the volume is adequate to loud. Overall the Jawbone II performs as advertised and is worth a look. Finally someone got the Bluetooth technology right!
