No nonsense, no fuss. It just works. April 16, 2008 I bought this adapter so that I could use my Lexar 8GB Expresscard SSD with my work Laptop (Toshiba Tecra M5). Plug it in, count to 10 and bang. It's there and it just works. Windows identifies it with no need for extra drivers or anything. File transfers click along at acceptable speeds with no issues at all.
Keep in mind that this adapter will stick out about an inch from the side of the laptop once fully inserted so if you're hoping to leave it in all the time you may be disappointed.
Works fine December 21, 2007 I use it with my 16GB Lexar ExpressCard SSD, works just fine. Be careful, some ExpresCard devices use USB (which this adapter provides), and some don't.
Works perfectly! September 20, 2007 I bought this because I got a PC Express Verizon wireless data card for my MacBook Pro that I also wanted to be able to use on my IBM ThinkPad, which only has regular PC Card slots. It worked like a charm; no hassle at all.

Be sure that your ExpressCard is USB based before ordering. PCMCIA ExpressCard products, such as the Verizon wireless cards, won't work. I now gather (and others more technically oriented should feel free to chime in here) there are two different types of ExpressCards. Nothing in the Verizon literature makes that clear, but at least this product is well labelled - it just won't work with the other type of cards.
