1 out of 5 stars What were they thinking?   July 21, 2007
I got this version from I O Gear as the version that I lost was so terrific. The headset for this model is useless, if you have ears. The earpiece is unusable - whoever designed it and approved its use should be required to wear it an entire day, they would find that it is not possible. Beyond its practical use because of the poor over-the-ear comfort, the headset, when held up to my ear seemed to have decent sound quality - the fact that no one could hear me was more than a little disappointing. Apparently the microphone on my particular headset doesn't work. Since I just received this and discovered that I could not wear the ear piece or could anyone hear me, I am planning to return it. Save yourself the hassle. It is a shame that I O Gear chose to change the design, the previous model was so comfortable, that I did not even know I was wearing the earpiece.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible headset   July 18, 2007

This bluetooth headset is absolutely horrible. I do not recommend it to anyone. My phone works wonderfully well with the Plantronics 510, a highly reviewed/regarded headset and let me tell you it is a dream compared with this garbage. I actually like talking on the phone again. Here are my reasons:

My phone: Motorola L2

This headset:

Does not hold its charge long
Does not sound so good
crackles and pops like a radio station that is 10 miles away EVEN when it is in my POCKET!
it disconnects every 10 seconds when your not talking to someone
it frequently doesn't connect when I tell it to

it is worth the extra 20 bucks to pick up a nice one like I recommended. It makes ALL the difference.

By the way, I trouble shot these issues with their tech support and they said it was prolly my phone or a defective model possibly. But they did not admit to ever hearing of these problems before. Funny when all the reviewers seem to say the same thing about this product. Someone should slap iogear with a class action lawsuit for this piece of junk.

2 out of 5 stars WORTH THE PRICE   January 6, 2007
The headset seems to have a lot of static sounds in the backround issues.
Don't conform to ear or around ear very easily or securely. Always feels as if it is going to fall off your ear.
Reason being the price was very inexpensive. If you can deal with the above issues and not be bothered by them then this item is for you.

2 out of 5 stars A disappointment   December 16, 2006

I had an old headset made by Anycom but the somewhat bulky earpiece made it very uncomfortable for wearing it for a long time. After I saw this IOGear it looks more attractive so I bought it.

The more I use it, the more I dislike it. The ear hook is too flimsy that it is not holding it in place. Whenever I move my head, the whole earpiece moves away from my face. It did not fall down completely from my ear, just hanging there with the piece pointing 45 degrees from my face!

More importantly, it frequently connects/disconnects while in standby mode, sometimes several times a minute. This is very annoying because your ear is filled with the ding-dong's (it chimes when it connects or disconnects) all the time. Sometimes when you want to take a phone call you'd find out that your headset is not connected!

I've returned it once and got a replacement, but the replacement has the same problem. I hope I can get my money back.

2 out of 5 stars disappointed for this new version   November 26, 2006

Summary: Disappointed~ the quality of the old version of IOgear headset is so much better.

i bought this headset 2 weeks ago, i've been using it for a week now. all i can say is that.. im very disappointed with this one.. i used to use the older version of iogear headset which was not as good lookin as this one. i loved the functions of the headset and i had no problem with it at all(loved the earpiece, distance were great i could walk more than 30ft away from it, easy to use, clear sound) until i accidently broke it(my fault). so as i searched for another headset, i've found this new version of iogear, i really liked the way it looks and i thought it'd perform the same quality,if not better, of my old one. so i bought it.. once i received it, i charged it for 12 hours for the first use like others. after i started to try it i realized that im havin the same problem as the first review said.. that after pairing, during the stand-by mode it keeps on connectin and disconnecting by itself. it really get annoying, i agreed with that guy. i guess i should just list the stuffs:
bads:
-----
-disconnect by itself frequently while on standby
-always turn on by itself while its in your pocket because the on/off button is soo loose, its annoyin
-"supposingly" you should press volume buttons for redialing. but it turned out i have to hold on/off button for 3 secs for it to redial, so i guess they programmed my headset wrong.
-earpiece is the worse part for me.. its totally different than the one from older version.i loved the other one..but this new version.. feels like it'd come off anytime.....

im really dissatisfy with this product... but i don't want to return it and lose my shippin cost....... i guess i'll suck it in
