Not bad if you don't leave the city streets July 25, 2008 Living in California with the new handsfree law in effect as of 7/1 I had to get something I hated the idea of an earpiece so found this at a local store. It sounds fine, loud and clear on a city street. Get on the freeway and people can hear you but you can no longer hear them, very frustrating. I have found myself holding the speaker to my ear to hear the conversation and it's only 18 inches away on my visor! if you are looking for something for quick calls it's not a bad buy, but if you are going to have a conversation it's not the product to buy. The few pros on the product easy to sync, buttons easy to find, charge lasts for days. However it only charges in car and the cord is short, charge before using.
Works great instead of ear piece! esp for mom's who just zip around town..... July 24, 2008 I hate earpieces! This solution that clips on the visor of my car works great. It stays charged for a long time. It works well for mom's just zipping around town! It does not work so great on rough highways at hight speeds...but bought my mom one too!!
Disappointed July 23, 2008 Had a hard time making the connection to my phone work - it would always go to voicemail - not worth the trouble to keep trying when there are quite a few other handsfree units available.
jabra sp5050 July 22, 2008 Have been using this product for a little over a month now on a daily basis on my 20 mile round trip commute.
Overall I would rate this product good...sound quality from the speaker is OK on my end but rated as very good by callers. Ease of use is as advertised and the unit is discrete and well designed. Syncing couldn't be easier and the auto off function is a nice feature.
The cons are that the volume could be higher. I have a good sound proofed SUV, but even then I find the volume from the device even at max to be 20% lower than I would like.
Overall the product is good and worth what I paid for it, but the sheer issue of the volume limitation will probably result in me buying an in ear headset, which I was trying so desperately to avoid.
Good looking speaker needs little more volume July 22, 2008 Reasonably priced, good looking, and easy to operate. Needs more volume on the highways although other side can hear me well. Automatic shut-down is nice but it only works for a longer period. If you return before it turns itself off, you must manually turn off and on again to pair.
