I guess I just wasn't thinking that this would be another mount to use in my other car in place of the OEM mount. Instead this is a mount to use IN PLACE OF the other mount. It is just what the photo shows - a ball mount to attach the OEM NUVI mount to. Back to the drawing board. Not worth returning.

I live in CA so windshield mount is not allowed and i did not want any sticky disc on my dashboard so this vent mount would be my other option.I've looked at different vent mounts and this one looked pretty simple and straightforward. Was just worried it may not work for my 660 because of it's weight and might easily break but the whole mount looks sturdy. Installation and removal is easy. When mounted on my vent i like the placement and it makes it easy to access the Nuvi. I was skeptical at first that the Nuvi might jump around, rattle or come loose but it was steady and firm when i tested and drove my car around. I even intentionally ran some speedbumps and did some quick turns to see if it will rattle but it held it's place and did not even move. Can't wait to try it and test it even more but i think overall i'm happy with the fitment and works the way i expected it to be.

Arms wouldn't fit into the back of the product easily, finally got them in to place. Set it on the table and one arm literally broke just sitting on the table. Picked it up, second arm snapped off. It definitely could not have held the weight of our garmin nuvi!! Contacted the seller - they never responded. NOT a good product - very cheap - I guess you get what you pay for!

This works fine in my 2000 Nissan Sentra, with a nuvi 200. I had previously tried a different vent mount that had springs, but the arms weren't long enough to fit on my vent; this one, however, fits fine. It's also pretty easy to remove this mount; see Arkon's website for the instruction sheet that shows how it works. One drawback is that with this mount installed you might not be able to move the vent to blow air in the direction you want, but I expect that would apply to all vent mounts in general. I prefer the location this puts the GPS at, compared to other options like windshield/dashboard mounts, and I don't want to mess with suction cups.

This little gizmo works great. No issues. Simple, and effective. It is nice not have that suction cup stuck to the window, or the ring that it leaves. Minor complaint.... it is not the easiest thing to remove from the vents for the frequent traveler/car hopper, but for the money, you can't beat it!
