Product Description Create more desk space by storing the CPU in this mobile stand. Contemporary minimal design allows airflow on all sides while keeping the CPU off the floor, away from dust. Brushed aluminum finish with powder-coated steel uprights stores CPUs up to 8-3/4" wide. Four swivel casters (two locking) allow mobility and access to cables.Safco 2225NC.

Great Looks and Quality October 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I run a computer training facility so I have several computers I needed to buy stands for. We wanted some that would help make our computers a little more mobile and off the floor should disaster happen and our room floods again. I actually bought this one to use with our Macs because it looked like it would match the system. I bought a cheaper "plastic" style one for our black PCs. I wish I had just bought this one for all the computers. We have heavy high-end CPUs. The cheap plastic stands have all but disintegrated under the weight and most were thown away within a year. They didn't roll very well anyway. These look nice and have held up wonderfully. The casters lock in place, and even our heavy 50+ lbs CPUs roll easily across the floor when needed. These stands would probably hold twice the weight than even our machines put on them.
In another review its stated the platform of this stand is made of wood but is painted silver. This is true, only the metal railing appears to be aluminum. However, this has not mattered at all to me. I think the thick wood makes it strong and even feel a little more heavy duty.
Aluminum colored Wood Computer Stand October 18, 2007 The stand is nice, but not Aluminum as suggested in the description. This stand is really a block of wood, which is covered with a silver colored laminate that is paper thin. The quality is OK if you were expecting a wood product, and not a brushed aluminum, aluminum product. It would be more accurate to say that this stand is aluminum colored laminated wood. For what it is, it should be cheaper than it is.
