2 out of 5 stars Not what I expected   September 22, 2008

I like the design of this sound bar but the sound is not what I expected. It sound like my TV. I need a little more kick so I returned the unit to Sears within 2 weeks of purchase but Sears charge me 15% re-stocking fee even I returned with the original box, and containing all original product packaging and accessories and looked like it had never been opened. . Buyer beware of Sears.

3 out of 5 stars Works with older HDTV's -- sort of   September 20, 2008

The CT100 cannot convert an HDMI output to a DVI input (obviously video only). This is what I wanted to do: HDMI outputs from my cable box and DVD player into the CT100. HDMI out from the CT100 to DVI input on my somewhat older HDTV, and then just have the audio coming out of the CT100. But, for whatever reason, when I connect HDMI out to the DVI input on my TV, all audio disappears. The manual says not to use HDMI to DVI (nice of them to say so before I bought it), so okay, I won't. But geez -- how hard is it just to send the video signal only from the HDMI out so it can go into my TV's DVI?

4 out of 5 stars Good sound for its price.   September 18, 2008
This is a great product for audiophiles on a budget, and it also functions as an HDMI switcher which helps integrate all your HD components into your home theater.

5 out of 5 stars Sony remote   September 17, 2008
Does anyone know if I can use my Directv HD DVR remote in lieu of the Sony HTCT 100 remote for sound? I have the 52" Samsung LCD and I don't want another remote. I considered the Boston Acoustics TVee Model 2,(no new remote), but it uses RCA cables - not HDMI.

PROS:

Very impressed with the quality.

Good Bass

Easy Setup

Hdmi Hub

CONS: It can be a little louder....

For the price this is a steal!

Tips: Point the remote at the Sound Bar not the Sub.
