 Not the right color May 20, 2008
This product was advertised as "Red" - however when I received it, it was more pink than red. Return was easy and credit to my account was fast.

Great case for the price. An aluminum case that comes with: a soft black foam interior (helps cushion your ipod if it falls), a screen protector and a click wheel protector.
I've had it for 3 months and it does a great job in protecting my ipod (I've already dropped my ipod, twice).
The only PROBLEM: IT'S NOT RED!! It's more of a dark PINK/VIOLET color! If it was red I would have given it a 5 star product. The chicks dig my ipod, so I'm not mad.
Just got the blue version of this case, also!

This is a particularly nice case for the gen3 ipod nano. Opens book-format: hinged on the left, with a single closure on the right, neoprene lined. iPod fits securely with no rattling. Case has a small opening at the bottom back for the included detachable lanyard carrier, which was a surprise since it wasn't mentioned in the item description, and is very handy. Both together weigh so little that I can wear it around my neck and hardly feel it. Case has an opening on the bottom to access charger, hold button, and earbud port. Finish of the aluminum is even and without sharp edges...the case is well-finished. One thing about this that is especially nice and differs from some other hard cases: the click wheel is completely encircled by metal, as is the view screen. Some of the cases I'm seeing on the market have a single opening, but this gives the product a more finished, uniform appearance. This case also comes with two adhesive screen protectors and an adhesive click wheel protector. Both have film on each side so that what you're applying hasn't been scratched prior to application. There are clear instructions for proper removal of both sides right on the film, with well designed pull tabs so you're not clawing at the sides with your nails.
I thought this would be a good case when I bought it, but am even more impressed now that it's here.
One con: it is a little tricky trying to get the case open because the metal is so smooth. Try holding the top and bottom in one hand while opening the closure snap tab with the other. It's still easier than pulling a silicone skin on and off.
