Is it ok to put Nikon Gear in a Canon Bag :) Find out! October 14, 2008 Yes its great for Nikon gear as well as any other brand out there!
I have been a standard rectangle/square style camera guy for years but as you get more gear you need more room and those standard bags get to be too much. You have all these side pockets that you stuff things into then cant find when you need it and the straps just pull you down on the one side just not that great. So I went looking for another bag and found this one, the price is alot less than comparable bags which was a + and the layout looked good to so I took a chance and ordered one from Adorama. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the bag there is decent padding but its not overdone. There are pockets inside with mesh and zippers for books and filters and things and on the outside there is a couple of small ones for a cell phone or a ND filter so you dont have to go digging. A larger outside pocket for a laptop if you wish or maybe light reflector! The main compartment has the ubiquitous dividers you find on most camera bags BUT they arrangement options is such that you can have a SLR body with a 70-200 zoom and still have room in the bottom! You can easily have 2 bodies, several lenses ,cords and remotes batteries with room to spare. The nice thing also is when you lay down and open it up its all there where you can see it no looking through layers like the standard shoe box bags. You can have your camera with a zoom at ready grasp from the top something I do like! However you do want to watch when the bag is full and you unzip it while its upright as the zippers are very free moving, I added a small carabiner clip to mine like someone else suggested as a safety measure. There are straps at the bottom for a tripod also if you want and the carry handle at the top for when you don't want to wear it like a backpack.
In Florida it can rain at a moments notice and the zippers on this bag are covered which helps to keep water from getting to your precious gear a big + for me.
Now on a side note when you start loading up this bag remember you will be carrying and glass gets heavy! Dont put everything you own in there and think you are going to schlep this all over Disney LOL
All in all a good bag for a great price! Buy one or maybe even two!
can lam October 14, 2008 Price is great deal. the devicers in side need alitle stronger. anyway it's great bag. I like it and bought some more for my friends
Good camera backpack for the price October 14, 2008 I bought this because everyone talked about how big it was and how it could hold so much stuff... well it does hold a good amount of gear, but it is by no means big. It holds an acceptable amout camera gear and I do like the bag.
The negatives for this bag are: 1. The zipper does feel cheap. I'm always very cautious with the zippers because I don't want them to break. Never leave the zippers at the top of the bag when carrying around your gear as they feel like they might open on their own and drop out your gear. 2. I wish their was some more velcro or a web or something to hold the gear in place. Stuff can easily shift around in there and you have to be careful when opening the bag that stuff doesn't fall out.
If you have a little inginuity and are willing to modify the bag yourself then this is the bag for you! It's very inexpensive and seems to be good in every other way. I would buy this bag again knowing that I will need to make a few changes when it arrives.
Cannon Deluxe Photo Backpack October 14, 2008 Bought this for my Mom and she loves it. She said it carries well, plenty of room but not too bulky.
Fantastic! October 13, 2008 ASIN:" 105-2076111-6478600 This backpack is fantastic. My daughter is 5'2 and 98lbs and it is not to big or bulky for her to carry to school. Her camera and accessories fit in great! Lots of room and the equipment is well protected. I recommend this product to all!
