Product Description The coolest iPod accessory in the world is now available for the coolest iPod in the world - the jet black iPod U2 Special Edition. The iTrip FM transmitter for the iPod can play your music through any FM radio - in your car, at a party - anywhere the mood strikes you and there's a radio.iTrip is made specifically for the iPod. This gives iTrip advantages over similar devices. For example, with the iTrip, you can have the cleanest possible signal, because you can choose any radio station on the FM dial to tune for the best performance. You do this by 'playing' special station codes directly from the iPod itself. Simple.Another advantage of the iTrip is that it needs no batteries - it receives its tiny amount of power from the iPod. No more batteries ever again. There's not even a power switch - just plug it in and go. It shuts off automatically after 60 seconds of silence, just like the iPod.The iTrip is the ultimate accessory for the iPod because it allows you to share the music and share the fun beyond your headphones. Don't leave home without it.

If you don't mind sound quality... September 5, 2008 I personally like this device that's why the rating but other customers who are conserned more with the sound quality of their music I wouldn't recommend, not many issues with the product and overall it's awesome.
Definitely buy it! August 31, 2008 If you are looking for an easy to use FM transmitter that works like a charm, this is the best choice by far. Good range, comfortable, easy to set up and it does not kill the battery faster than just using the iPod with your earphones. Go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it.
Who needs a dock? August 31, 2008 Set this baby to 89.7 and you can plat it on any stereo any where. Love it.
Not too bad July 17, 2008 I ordered this the week before the new iphone came out so it was a little cheaper, I think I only paid $12.95 for it. I have had it for about two weeks now and will address some concerns other people mentioned. 1) probably the most important, the fm transmitter works very well. I have used it in 3 different vehicles while driving all over the Phoenix metro area and it has only been interuppted twice by signals that would have interupted any fm transmitter, 2) it is only an fm transmitter so it is not the stellar quality from a direct connection many people are looking for, i.e. it can not possibly be any better quality than a typical radio broadcast, 3) it attaches to my ipod very securely and I have had no problems with it coming loose and I have thrown it around in my car multiple times, 4) the broadcast signal strength has not been a problme in any of the three vehicles I have been in or my house, and I have used it in a vehicle that has a window antenna and one thta has a traditional antenna, 5) this is the only complaint I have and the reason it only got three stars, the plug in charging ability does not work at all on mine. I can see the ipod change screens and register the charger is plugged in but the darn thing never seems to charge. I have tried it with both the player on and off and it just doesn't seem to charge. This would have been a five star rating for me if the charger worked when plugged into it, thats one of the reasons I picked this product. But overall it transmits well and for the price I can live with charging my ipod before using it with this. One other thing, it does drain the battery faster because the transmitter is powered by your ipod.
Griffin iTrip July 17, 2008 Super easy and kids had it rolling in minutes even though I wasn't so sure it would work that fast. Light and clean looking too. No problems.
