The Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer is an advanced, high-tech pedometer that--thanks to unique dual sensor technology--can be carried in your pocket or bag. Q&A - Pedometers
Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron Pedometers?
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps?
At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace.
What are aerobic steps?
The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute.
How does the PC software work?
The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

 Great Product July 20, 2008
I would highly recommend this product. I previously had the Omron HJ-112 (which I highly recommend also) However, after about 6 months of use the HJ-112 quit working. I purchased another brand pedometer and was extremely disappointed. It stopped working after a month or so. So, I decided to go with the Omron HJ-720ITC. I haven't used the computer features yet, the pedometer itself is acurate and easy to use. I sent the HJ-112 back to Omron and after inspecting it they sent me a new one. So I now have two great pedometers, just in case one of them quits working. I will say that customer service at Omron has always been helpful and pleasant. The plastic safety clip, broke two different times on the HJ-112 and it was replaced free of charge without any questions asked. I wear the pedometer 7 days a week all day long, including my 2-3 mile jog every morning. I have found that a pedometer is very motivating to keep me on track of 10,000+ steps a day.
Simply but extremly useful for my purpose July 19, 2008
All I wanted was a simple Pedometer that can count my steps, so that I will be more motivated to move around. This unit did it. I love the function that I can download the data to excel file easily. Also, the strap saved the unit countless times. I had lost couple of cheaper pedometer within a month and this one is here to stay!
Pedometer is a nifty tool July 19, 2008
For the health conscious, this is a very nifty tool. After the initial set up there is nothing more to do other than walk, walk, walk, walk .... The price was right and it arrived quickly.
Great little gadget July 17, 2008
I love it! It works fantastic. The only complaint I have about it is though it says you can stick it in your pocket and purse it MUST be upright. I walked around all morning with it in my jeans and at noon it said 0!!!

This item never shuts off! I actually purchased two from the same company, just different models and neither one shuts off. It says that after 5 minutes of non-use it will automatically shut off...it NEVER HAS. I'm not happy with that because the battery ran out. Now, neither of us are using the ones I purchased. I don't recommend it.
