Love it! October 7, 2008 People ask me why I'm sitting in the dark or call me a vampire now because I'm always dimming the lights in the room to better see my awesome keyboard!
Great Product, Great Price September 30, 2008 One of my coworkers had purchased this cool keyboard, with backlighting and quiet keys, for herself and another worker. This price for the exact product was considerably less than what she paid.
Variable quality from unit to unit September 20, 2008 I purchased this as we keep the family computer in the same room where we watch movies, and none of us particularly like the room likes bright. That can be a challenge when someone is trying to work on the computer, so we decided to buy a lighted keyboard. Saitek came recommended by several friends, and we also have kids who play games, so the thought of a gamer keyboard for durability was attractive. It's held up well to food, though something sticky is in the left shift key that defies cleaning. The lighting has been very weak, even on the brightest setting. It's effectively not a lighted keyboard. But for some reason, about a year later, I bought another. The second one works great, and both light brightness settings work well. My rating of "4" is based on the one that works. I probably should have returned the other, but as you with kids know, sometimes it's just too busy to get everything done. The second purchase was at $33.99 (Amazon), about $10 under where it is today on Amazon.
Fabulous keyboard September 16, 2008 Excellent keyboard. I love the soft feel of the keys and the gentle blue glow. I don't use the wrist support due to space limitations, but it still feels fine. Definitely one of the best choices I could have made in this price range. I don't think other backlit keyboards could compare for the price.
The only possible issue I could see is that the silver paint on the keys might wear away, and allow too much light through - obscuring the letter. I'll try to be mindful of that and not play with the keys too much if I'm waiting for a webpage to load.
Love it! September 9, 2008 Not only did I order this keyboard for myself, but my sis-in-law and my cousin also had me order one for them. We all LOVE them! The illuminated keyboard is not only pretty, but it helps out so much at night, in a dimly lit room. I would highly recommend this keyboard.
