Works well outside of the city July 24, 2008 This works well when you get outside of the city. In California it's kind of a hit or miss. I live in Sacramento and so if I use it while driving from Sacramento to the Bay Area it really doesn't work too well. There are just to many interfering stations to get a really clear channel. However if I head east or use it in less populated areas it seems to work just fine. If you live in a metro area you would probably want to spend the extra money and get a monster transmitter or something a little more powerful than the itrip. If you live in a rural state or area then it itrip should work fine.
It Works July 21, 2008 I'm not to far from Chicago (about an hour or so) and I got to say, it works. Yeah, there's some static but it doesn't drown out the music. Yeah, you have to have the volume cranked up loud on your current system, but that's if you have music with low quality. Music downloaded straight from iTunes were lower than music I ripped from CDs (quality difference). This does not get you "bumping" down the block but its clean and loud enough for you and your passengers. Also, you might want to play with your system's EQ (equalizer) before using it on the road. The presets were right on que. 88.(whatever) is the best station to use it on around these areas.
Bottom line: It works. Just remember to lower the volume when you're about to turn it off.
Great Product July 17, 2008 It's easy to use, and it works perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, and even when there's a little interference the sound is still crystal clear.
Not bad July 16, 2008 This really deserves more of a 3.5 star rating. It definitely gets the job done but it's not really all that impressive and sometimes there is static with some poorer sound quality but it still gets the job done in the end. Nothing beats a cassette converter though.
good transmitter July 14, 2008 Road works very well, good sound and is not interrupted the transmission. in the city instead interference occurs most often however, recommend the product
