Wii Wireless Sensor Bar by Nyco May 3, 2008 This product is great. I have found that it makes it easier to move the sstem around without having the extra thin wired sensor bars wire. If you have an active family and move your Wii console to different locations it is a must have. It actually increased the range from what I had with the wired bar. While you do have batteries to replace it is still worth it. It has a power saver option that works well so that you remember to turn it off. Overall, it is a great option for many people.
Wii Wireless Sensor Bar May 3, 2008 This is a great product. I was told that it "burns thru batteries", but I have not found that to be the case. I average 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day and 6 hours on the weekend of game play time. I'm still on my first set of batteries and it's been nearly three weeks. It's great not to have an additional cord to deal with also.
wii wireless sensor bar April 10, 2008 PRO:I bought this for my kids do to the wire on the old bar somehow got broken with this wireless sensor bar there is no wire so no fuss. It seems to work better than the bar that came with the wii. the kids love it,

works like a charm April 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
great addition to the Wii experience. Wireless all the way - especially if you have a flat screen on the wall. We also move it around since we have a longer room to makes "non-motion" games couch-friendly. This thing is great - just remember to turn it off after finishing your gaming.
Works well but not necessary April 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have used this product for about 4 or so months now. It works great. I do not think it is a must have accessory, however, unless you have a real need for a wireless bar (for instance, if your tv is wall mounted or if you, like me, have cats that chewed up the cord on the stock sensor). I say that because, while it works great, it brings with it two notable inconveniences. One, it's one more thing you need batteries for. The stock sensor obviously is powered off the console. Anything wireless requires its own batteries. Two, you have to turn the sensor on and off each time you use it. Turning it on is not a big deal - if you forget, you will quickly remember you need to do so when your pointer doesn't work. Remembering to turn it off is obviously harder. Fortunately, the sensor does have an automatic turn off. After a set number of minutes (an hour I think) the sensor starts beeping, at which point you can hit the button on the sensor to keep it turned on, you can hold the button down to turn it off, or you can just wait it out and the sensor will eventually turn itself off. Such is a great feature if you have forgotten to turn the sensor off. Such is annoying, however, if you are in the middle of playing a game and the sensor starts beeping. You have to pause the game, get up off the couch, hit the sensor button, sit back down and then you can continue playing. That's right - the auto shut off does not take into account whether or not you are in the middle of a game.
So, my conclusion is, if you need a wireless sensor bar, this one works great. If you don't, I wouldn't recommend it because of the afformentioned inconveniences that come with things wireless. If you simply need to replace your sensor bar, and don't need the wireless functionality, the following looks to be a better, and cheaper, option: Wired Sensor Bar for Nintendo Wii with Stand!
