That plucky little supermodel Barbie, who balances her social calendar with occupations such as deep-sea diving and private investigation, adds another line to her resume with Barbie: Pet Rescue for the Game Boy Color (it also works with the Game Boy Advance). The game's cute, simple adventuring is just right for young ones to while away hours in the backseat on car trips. The plot is simple enough. Barbie and her little friend Stacie must search through Green Arbor Park for various cute and mostly furry animals to rescue. Each successive rescue presents a more challenging puzzle, and a special prize awaits those gamers who manage to rescue all 14 animals (we won't spoil things and reveal it here). This game isn't just about helping Barbie and Stacie do their jobs, however. These animals need to be fed and played with, too. Some of them must be nursed back to health. And little gamers will likely delight in doing all this because Barbie's charges include bunnies, kittens, puppies, and more cute critters. Even though the graphics are typically sparse--notably simpler than the old CD-ROM version--Barbie: Pet Rescue's combination of Pokemon-style nurturing and the wholesome pinkness of Barbie herself makes it a great, if overly simple, game for ages 5 and slightly up. --Andrew S. In Barbie Pet Rescue, kids must help Barbie rescue all the lost animals over several missions in Green Arbor Park. Players transport new animal friends in cool vehicles to the Pet Rescue Center, where you care for and play with the animals before sending them home. How much fun is this toy? I give it five stars because it is awsome and soo much fun!
How would you rate this toy's educational value? I give it four stars because it teaches children to be kind to animals.
How durable is this toy?I give it five stars for durability because it is absolutly durable!
And last but now least i give it five stars overall because it is A TOTALLY AWSOME GAME!!!

I have this game for pc, not gb. This game is fun for two days.Once you finish it, it's soooooooooooooo boring! When you know how to "rescue" the animals, all you do is the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.And barbie is sooooooooooooo slow! It takes her an hour to walk one step. The point is,this game is just so darn stupid!!!!! There are way better barbie games out there,so,don't waste your ca$h by buying this game!!!!

This game is a nightmare. My husband, who is super at all sorts of video and computer games, can't even get it to work well. To rescue the pets, Barbie needs your help to make them not scared, make them come to her, etc. However you try to help, though, generally does not work easily. You will have better luck just randomly clicking until she does what she is supposed to do. Very irritating and disappointing.
