Have it less than a month and already a rip! August 29, 2008 I purchased this because of the great reviews on Amazon. I also checked it out at Best Buy prior to my online purchase and the bag looked decent and sturdy. After the first week of usage, I was disappointed. I have a Canon 40D and a 18-35mm lens. I purchased this camera recently and have not purchase any other accessories. When I put my 40D into the Canon bag, the camera moves around too much and the supportive padding is not sturdy to hold the camera in place. Also, there is no support strap inside the bag to lock down the camera. I think the bag should have some type of supportive strap to keep the camera from moving. After one month of usage, I discovered a 4" rip on a seam in the upper right region of the bag.
Pros: Looks nice and large storage capacity.
Cons: Poor quality. Poor storage support.
Amazon: Retail price at Best Buy store in City of Industry, CA is $80 and retail price at amazon.com is $42.00; a saving of nearly 50%.
Canon back pack August 28, 2008 The back pack has plenty of room and is still not overly large. It holds two cameras (SLR and compact) and all the equipment that goes with it fine as well as keys and wallet.
Perfect of my new Canon! August 24, 2008 Its a great product looked at buying from Fry's and Best Buy couldn't find anything that fits my budget plus has quality. So very happy to find a canon backpack for my canon dslr! They're perfect together! It has a lot of storage plus the price is unbeatable!
Awesome bag for the price! August 20, 2008 This backpack is a great alternative to higher priced, name brand bags. It is very well constructed with heavy duty zippers. In my backpack I carry my Canon 40D, 1 wide angle lens, a 70-200L and a small video camera and still have plenty of room. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Good backpack, gets the job done August 19, 2008 This is a very sturdy backpack. I got one of these for my New Zealand trip two weeks ago. The backpack can hold most of my camera gadgets and lens no problem. One thing I didn't like about this backpack was that the zipper was too loose. This one time I had the both zippers zipped to the top of the backpack, while I was running, the zipper got loose and my backpack got wide open and my precious 70~200 F4 IS felt hard on the floor. It cost me [...] just to fix the IS, ouch! What a shame. So the moral of this story is, if you are getting this backpack, remember to zip your zipper to the side, not to the top!!!
