I couldn't get it to work properly March 25, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this card so that I could play Oblivion. The card would freeze up after a few minutes of play. It would also freeze up with normal use (Word or email). I emailed their support and they got back to me after a few days. By that time I discovered that my son had a card I could use. I don't know what the problem was but I couldn't get it to work properly.
Great Card for improved Frame Rates March 13, 2008 I was more than surprised to see my MS Flight Sim 2004 jump from a low of 10-13 to over 25 in AI congested and heavy weather settings. Converted from a ATI Radeon 9600 128MB card. Have a 3 year old 2.4Gig P4 with 1GB Ram. Incidentally, the Beeping(high temp)finally stopped with the new card. Installation was easy, except that you need to go back to a VGA connection if your current PC to Monitor is DVI. Otherwise you panic like me and see nothing on start up......
Circuit City B&M has this on clearance for $79.99 January 30, 2008 Bought a few weeks ago at Circuit City Brick and Mortar for $79.99 exact same item.
Great card for the price December 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a little more expensive than a PCI version of an equivalent card, but this card is still probably just about the best deal as far as AGP cards go currently. I'm completely happy with the purchase - and having never installed a video card myself before, I was pleased to find that installation couldn't be easier.
52 Inch Plasma November 29, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this card to replace an ATI All in Wonder board that I had bought last Christmas when I had built a gaming PC for my son. When I tried to connect the ATI card to my Panasonic 52 inch plasma HD 1080p as a secondary monitor it thankfully warned me that I might burn out the screen - causing a very high spike in the WAF. Sorry can't remember the exact message, but I didn't want to take a chance.
I connected the PNY to the Panasonic and there was the Asus boot screen, with no adjustments the card had selected the right screen size. I have been a ATI guy for years, but after this card I'm switching camps. All of the games (Halo2, Call to Duty, etc) look great on the big screen. Thanks PNY for reviving my $1600.00 investment and reducing the WAF.
