Almost perfect August 28, 2008 This is a great little headphone. Did not want the microphone so I cut it off and put a dab of glue on the cut and it did not hurt a thing. Also the cord is TOO LONG. Well worth the price though.
High quality sound, effective torture device August 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased a set of these from a local big box retailer for use as a travel headset. While effective in this regard, the size and shape of the earphones cause my ears to hurt several minutes after insertion making extended use of these nearly impossible. While the perfect size and price for travel, it is the severe discomfort that these cause that has now prompted me to find a replacement pair.
Using these as headphones was pleasurable, excluding the pain. Sound quality was good -- certainly better than the laptop speakers which were the alternative. Voice quality as picked up from the microphone was dependant on a number of factors, however. The microphone is a pendant which when worn rests about six inches below your neck. As a result, it is largely dependant on sound being reflected to pick anything up. Present it with an open environment like a large room and little sound will be reflected rendering the microphone largely useless.
Overall, this headset is passable for short term use but should be avoided as a dedicated headset.
Pros: Small Cheap Decent earphone sound quality
Cons: Painful to wear Microphone (pendant) can get turned around easily causing transmitted voice to be muffled Microphone's ability to pick up voice highly dependant on environment
Pretty much what I wanted June 26, 2008 If I'd had my absolute preference I'd've gotten a USB headset but since those were fairly expensive at the time I was buying o got this one instead. They're comfortable and the sound quality seems pretty good. use them to talk to my family on Skype and they work for that plus they're not bad for listening to audio on the PC otherwise.
Works perfect March 29, 2008 These earbuds are small and compact, and sound and voice are great. I would strongly suggest them.
excellent March 17, 2008 works perfectly, weighs nothing, fits into a shirt pocket. a lot more convenient than those headphone/mics that wrap around on top of your head or in the back. only thing is that you can't control the volume from the headphones themselves, but I realize that is part of the reason that these cost less than a lot of others so no complaints there
