5 out of 5 stars Great DVD-R's, Great Brand   October 10, 2008
I have finished more than three-quarter of the 100-pack spindle and I have yet to find a coaster. The thing with DVD's or CD's is that when you find a bad one, it seems to be bunched into the same stack as they were manufactured at the same place and at the same time. My recommendation is not to burn DVDs or CDs using the maximum speed, the chance of a bad burn tend to be much much less if you knock it down a bit. Same as filling up the data capacity, 4200mb seems to work best for me as filling up the DVD to the edge may become problematic.

5 out of 5 stars Works GREAT with TiVo Humax DVR   October 5, 2008
I have an older Humax TiVo DVR which has the DVD burner inside. Though the Humax leaves a LOT to be desired. .. the TDK DVD's are the only ones that I can use in it and they work 99% of the time. I've tried lots of other brands, and have lots of problems, but TDK almost always works. When you're buying a spindle of 100, it's not impossible that you might have one or two that will give you a problem, but I find that with just about any brand, even on other DVD burners I have. I read somewhere that TDK was about the most compatible brand of blank DVD's that you can get. . . and that's certainly the case for me.

5 out of 5 stars Perfectly delivered   September 15, 2008
This product was exactly like what you would get in the store but at a much better price!

3 out of 5 stars Many Defective Discs   September 3, 2008
Maybe it's the discs, maybe it's my DVD recorder, but about one out of ten of the TDK DVD-R discs ended up with a message "disc error" or "unknown disc" It's not so much the loss of a disc as the two hours it takes to record a movie, just to end up having to record it all over again.

5 out of 5 stars I don't understand why others have so many problems   September 1, 2008
I have been burning DVDs for several years now, totaling over 2500 discs. I have used several different machines; at present I use a Magnavox that I paid $50 for at Wal-Mart. As for the discs, I usually buy whatever is the lowest price. The last 200 I bought were TDKs from Amazon. I paid only $21/100.
It may be hard to believe after reading many of the other reviews here, but my experience has been almost problem free. I doubt if I have lost more than 10 discs in all that time, and most of the failures were my fault. Why others have so many problems and complaints, I do not know and will not even speculate.

Maybe it's just good luck, but whatever the reason, I wish everyone else had the same experience I have had!
