Product Description The world's smallest digital music player, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, "good" and "small" don't quite cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.Clip it to your coin pocket. Clip it to your bag. No matter where you clip your skip-free iPod shuffle, you'll have instant access to music. And iPod shuffle's anodized aluminum enclosure goes with absolutely everything. Put it on, turn it up, and turn some heads.Got more than 240 songs in your iTunes library? No problem. Let iTunes autofill your iPod shuffle and get a new musical experience every time. Pop follows jazz. Rock follows rap. iPod shuffle loves to improvise. Take the Shuffle switch, for instance. Even if you've synchronized a particular playlist, you can shuffle songs with a flick.

Stupidly overpriced July 22, 2008 When you consider the Sansa Clip 4GB has twice the storage for the same price, trading the OLED display for an Apple logo makes no sense whatsoever.
NOT recommended.
Over 200 songs on a device the size of bubble gum? Brilliant!! July 21, 2008 If you like to listen to music while you work out or jog, this wonderful device is absolutely essential, especially if you don't want to lug around a portable cd player or a larger Ipod. You can fit over 200 of your favorite songs on the shuffle. Furthermore, at the bargain price of $49, this is a really good value.
Very easy to use July 20, 2008 This was a birthday gift to myself, I filled it with gospel music and listen to it at work and when I go for walks. It's great, and easy to use.
What Item? July 20, 2008 It would be hard to review an item that I never received. The seller of this item is a scam artist. He took my money and never sent the product.
Itty-bitty July 18, 2008 I find the iPod Shuffle is perfect for the gym where it clips easily on a shirt - no carrying case required. It's tiny but holds more songs than I've ever needed to put on it at any one time. For people like my friend who keeps his entire music collection on his iPod, the little Shuffle just won't do. But I only change my playlist occasionally, or sometimes listen to an audio book or a podcast, and I can keep everything on the original CDs or my computer and change it as often as I want. Creating playlists and uploading music using the computer interface is quick and easy. It has only 2 modes - either play the tracks straight or shuffle them, and the buttons are easy to use even without looking. A single charge seems to last nearly a month for me - but I'm mainly using it at the gym.
The tiny size is nice, but it has it's drawbacks. My kids have an adapter that plugs it into my wife's car, and when it's separated from the headphones it's so small that I've lost it around the house several times. The kids have left theirs in jeans' pockets, and they don't survive a trip through the washing machine. The little earphones produce great quality sound, but they're not particularly long-lived (my first pair blew a speaker after only a couple of months but the iPod store in the mall gave me a new pair for free - otherwise replacements are $30).
But overall, I love it. It makes that half-hour on the eliptical go a lot faster. It's amazing to compare it to the Walkman with cassette I had in the early 80s - a huge improvement.
