Reader Rabbit Toddler October 17, 2007 Reader Rabbit Toddler is the best thing since disposable diapers!!! It doesn't matter if your child knows how to use a computer mouse at all. All they need to be able to do, is beat up your keyboard with their fists, and all kinds of neat things happen right in front of their eyes. The best part, is they eventually realize that they are making these things happen by manipulating the mouse or keyboard. There are lots of great, bold colors & lots of different sounds. There are stories and songs, coloring, sorting, etc. The worst parts are trying to get the child away from the computer long enough to write a review or pay a bill, and keeping the page open. If the page accidently closes, you'll have a fight on your hands, trying to get the mouse away from them, to re-open the page. I especially love the fact that software is available for children old enough to pound their fists, to about 12 years of age.
Okay for a toddler to use January 12, 2007 My 2-year-old daughter was pretty excited about this program. unfortunately, it often causes our Windows 98 computer to crash, and she gets frustrated when we have to reboot, and she has to wait.
She has not yet gotten the hang of the mouse, so she mostly just watches and listens, while we play it for her. She really likes having her own thing to do on the "pe-ku-ter"!
Good learning January 11, 2007 Reader Rabbit programs are great. Kids think they're fun, and they're learning at the same time. I highly recommend these.
A learning tool! January 9, 2007 My children go on the computer twice a day to interact with this toy. My son, who is three has learn how to make his selection. He even knows how to click! (considering that he is a child with a disability). His social and communication skills have improved tremendously. Mom, Dad, get this CD for your kids, with or without a disability, it will help them learn to communicate.
Reader Rabbit is the BEST Toddler program out there! November 7, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have three children 6 and under. I used RR Toddler with the first and second and then lost it. I had several other toddler programs and tried all of them, but they just aren't nearly as good as RR! So...I bought another copy and my 2 year old LOVES it! In fact, my 4 year old wanted to play it again, too! It is just the best! RR Preschool is also out of this world!
By the way, my second child has apraxia and couldn't talk AT ALL until the age of 4. RR Toddler really gave him an opportunity to shine and to show just how smart he really is! It gave him a great boost of confidence which I believe led to how well he is now doing with his apraxia.
