Does not fit the 500 series rino's April 26, 2008 These are great, if you don't have the 520 or 530. I gave them to my buddy who has the 130 and he loved it.
A wonderful addtion January 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son is a Marine over in Iraq and this was something he brought to my attention as being GREAT to have to go with his Rhino. He absolutely loved it.
Bash Guard works January 11, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I put this bash guard through its paces in a Colorado elk hunt. It does its job for the most part, but has a couple of drawbacks. First, it does not protect the screen (perhaps the most sensitive portion of the device. Also, it is very difficult to get on and off of the device with the frequent battery changes.
Bash guard REALLY works! May 13, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have dropped my Rino at least twice while on horseback (while moving quickly in poor terrain) and my Rino 120 has not been harmed, with thanks given to the bash guard. I use the orange cover so that if I do lose it, it's easy to spot either in sage brush or rock. My Rino is used in conjunction with search and rescue missions and personal riding trips. It has seen many miles in the past two years. The bash guard has been on it since the day I bought it and I have no regrets.
I'm not impressed with the tether and finally developed my own system to secure it to a saddle while still giving me full visibilty to the screen, and a secure mounting. (While riding horseback I do not want it bouncing around on my chest, so do not use it as designed.) In addition, the bash guard does fit tightly which makes changing the batteries a little more difficult, but I wouldn't give it up because of either of these reasons.
