Product Description Compatible with suction cup mount/bracket of most portable Garmin, TomTom, Magellan, Mio, Navman, Lowrance GPS, iPod iPhone, Smartphone, PDA, XM receivers. The portable mount features anti-skid material and it is weighted to prevent any sliding or tilting during turning, braking and normal vehicle maneuvers. We have tested our mount against three other competitive products and found our mount to be most stable. Please note, this item is the portable beanbag mount at the bottom and does not include the suction cup pedestal and the universal GPS holder nor the GPS themselves. Those items are included in the 2nd and 3rd pictures for illustration purposes only.

Better than a windshield mount & well worth the S/H July 25, 2008 To the guy who refused to buy this thing because of the shipping and handling fees - it's your loss. This thing is great. It stays put. The gps sits closer to me so I can see it - it doesn't block my view - I can remove it from the dash without the tell-tale sign that there was a gps mounted, and I've never trusted the suction cup-on-the-windshield device anyway. If your dashboard is severely sloped then maybe a windshield mount would be better, but I think most "standard" dashboards will accommodate this thing quite well. I would pay $35 - $40 for this plus the $15 s/h. Getting it at $9 plus the same s/h is a real bargain!
Not worth the shipping July 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was ready to purchase this item @ $8.98 until checkout included $13.98 in shipping & handling. Navsphere lists S&H @ about 4.99 for this price range but doesn't even list this item. So, I will keep my eyes open at such places like BigLots/Dollar Stores and pick up a $2 beanbag ashtray (you know - like from the 70s) which is basically the same thing! or improvise something similar. Use your noggins consumers.
Great solution for the prudent gadgeteer May 7, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The beanbag mounts for gadgets (I use mine for my GPS navigation system) are a great way to keep an electronic device on your dash, and therefore safely within line-of-sight of your instrument panel and the road. Leaving such devices permanently mounted on the windshield show sticky-fingered criminals exactly who to target for a smash-and-grab. Even if you use a suction cup mount for easy removal, they can still see where the cup had been mounted, so pulling it off when you park is still no guarantee that you won't be a target.
This particular design is reasonably priced: I found mine for around ten bucks. It's also a simple and more aesthetically pleasing design to me than the others I saw. Best of all, it actually does the job for which it was designed: you can be shooting down a twisty road and it will stay in place on your dash! The rubbery fabric acts as a great high-friction surface. Mine has not slipped once in the two weeks I've had it.
This was a great purchase. Be sure you don't pay an exorbitant price for one, though; you can find them for much less than list price.
Will Hold Ham Radio Head Unit April 27, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This device is the BEST!!! I purchased for a Garmin NUVI 260 but decided to try it out for one of my Amateur Radio units and it works wonders for the Yaesu 897 Head unit, No slip or slide even here in the mountains of Virginia where curves abound.I see a couple more of these for the Tacoma.
Easy and portable. April 5, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I own a Tomtom edition 3. I have 2 cars, a 2007 Scion TC and a 2004 Pontiac Vibe. Both have oddly shaped dashboards and the TC has a sloping windshield that prevented use of standard mounts. No matter my driving this mat DOES NOT MOVE!! Short of an accident, I don't think it will. I would recommend this product to anyone with a GPS!!
