terrible sound quality October 24, 2008 I recieved these for my birthday. I was using a pair of ipod buds on my sansa e250, but they were just painful after a few hours. Comfort on these is much better, but the sound was shockingly muffled at low volume (which I tend to use them at). It was if treble and midrange was filtered, like some kind of instant Dolby noise reduction. Awful. I immediatley went to the equalizer to try and "fix" the problem with no success.
Very disappointing and I would return them but I feel bad because my boys picked them out and I don't have the heart to tell them they're terrible.
Also, they look cool in the package, but when you get them in your hand the wires and build quality remind me of something you would get at the drugstore for 99 cents.
decent sound - cheap flimsy wires October 23, 2008 The sound is OK. Cheap flimsy wires that can easily get tangled which is an annoyance. And I suspect better wires would have improve the sound quality to good. For the price it was ok just to get OK sound. But it could have been much better value if the sound quality was good rather than just OK.
EXTREMELY OVERRATED!!!!! PIECE OF JUNK!!!!! October 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
i dont know how anyone could think these are better than ANY of the ipod earbuds. these wont stay in your ear. they hurt when they do even though they have adjustments. the sound quality is very poor. they remind me of those cheap complimentry pairs that come with a dell laptop. these also broke on me within 2 weeks of getting them. do yourself a favor and stick with ipod earbuds. theyre the best for the cost that youll find. these smoking buds were a very poor investment that i regret.
Worth the Money October 15, 2008 Good value...Bass varies with how far it is placed within the ear canal. Becomes a little uncomfortable after an hour or two of use.
Best buds for my skull September 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was finally convinced to use ear buds over ear-covering 'phones when I got a set with my Pioneer Inno. Since I wanted one pair for home and one for the office, I have been trying to find another pair I liked as well.
First I decided to go with Pioneer, since I had such luck with the first set. But the buds were too big and hurt my ears. Next I tried a pair of Philips with the same results.
But with these ear buds, I am happy at last. They stay in my ear, their sound is clear--take that claim with a grain of salt since I use them more for talk recordings than for music--and the in-cord volume control is more useful than I'd anticipated.
I am tempted to buy more of these in other spiffy colors. But having read other reviews, I want to hang onto these for a while to see if I have a problem with their breaking within a year.
