I use it for my ipod in my car and its great...no more tangled wires. I bought a cheaper one before and it twisted itself from the inside and stoped working. No probs with this one.

Nice self-coiling cord for hooking up the ol'IPOD to the Aux output or an FM modulator. I rent cars a lot for business and figuring out where to route all the cords and devices for every new model gets tiresome ... not to mention the constant tangling of cords (power, input, ear buds, etc). This sturdy, well-made cord stows nicely and reduces frustrating tangles.
great little retractable cable for the price October 8, 2008
I read a lot of really negative reviews about this little cable, but decided to take a chance on it anyways...
My husband and i have an "aux-input" on our car stereo and didnt want to use the giant regular "line-out" cord we purchased earlier.
This little retractable cable fits so snuggly in the plug, and i've never had a problem stretching it out, or having it retract back in (been using for over a month). You just have to be gentle with it from what i've seen so far.
I also like how small and discreet it is, when i leave the car, its less obvious that i have my MP3 player plugged in and sitting out.
Great value, nice little cord, perfect for your car stereo.

Serves it's purpose. I'm using it to connect my Zune to my car stereo system and it comes in handy so I don't have a large wire running down the front of my console. Only flaw is to retract it you have to pull it out all the way then pull it again to wind it back. Minor flaw, but I could also be doing something wrong.

No problems. I limit use to my car's MP3 port and it is entirely satisfactory.
