Product Description The 3.5mm stereo audio cables from Cables To Go are specifically designed for quality computer audio applications. The 3.5mm cable connects the PC sound card, portable CD player or any mini-stereo audio device with 3.5mm jacks to multimedia speakers. The cable features two 29-gauge stranded conductors and a drain wire, which are tinned to resist oxidation. Does what it needs to November 14, 2008 I bought this cord to hook my laptop to my TV to watch Netflix. This cord did exactly what it needs too. Great product
Worked great for a couple of months... October 27, 2008 I bought it to use in my car for connecting my Zune to my car stereo. I was always careful with it, when I was done using it I coiled it up and placed it in my center console. After a couple of months of light use though, it would start playing only out of one speaker or the other, or maybe not either side. I jiggled it around until it made a connection so it would work. But the wires inside the cable were clearly damaged even though the outside of the cable seemed sturdy enough.
On the plus side, it was only a few dollars so not much money down the drain. On the negative side, it was only a few dollars so I probably got what I paid for. I'm now buying a new cable (from a different manufacturer) to try again.
scratchy quality September 24, 2008 The sound quality gets scratchy if you move the cord. You can't move the cord too much
Poor quality audio cable September 1, 2008 The Cables To Go 6ft 3.5mm M/M Stereo Audio Cable was delivered as promised, on time, and appeared to be in good shape. But the quality of the product is not good. The cable was purchased for use in connecting an MP3 player to the audio jack on a car stereo. After only a couple of weeks, the sound quality started to drop off. We wondered if the connection was bad, so we disconnected and reconnected the plug, but that didn't solve the problem. It turns out that the cable has a break somewhere inside the plastic coating and the only way to get the proper sound quality is to keep moving the cable until it gets to a position where the wires connect. The cable was cheap, so it's not worth trying to send it back and get a refund.
Great Cable! Handy! August 31, 2008 Frankly, with today's gadgets, I run into the issue where I want to run my MP3 played to a computer, or into a car stereo player. This little cable really works for me!
My cable arrived in great condition, and was shipped with no issues. The cable itself has good insulation, and feels heavier than most light wires used for audio cables like this. What I really like is that it is the solid round cable, and it does not use that cheap, flimsy dual wire to connect the heads.
The connectors are a nice and snug fit in all of my audio devices, and I get great sound quality from them. I really found this item to be really useful, and a great buy! The price was awesome too!
