4 out of 5 stars Very Good   November 17, 2008
These work great - we use them to communicate with the guys in our warehouse. We do get some interruption on occassion, but we are quick to change channels.

2 out of 5 stars One works One doesn't   November 8, 2008
Bought the a pair of the radios in early Oct. For the first 10-20 uses they worked fine. Then one started having battery life of 1-2 hrs. A day later it doesn't work at all. Bad quality control.

These were a good buy. Use them when we go to the beach, or the mall, or wherever a group may want to separate and still stay in touch. Realistic range more like a mile when there are buildings, trees, terrain changes. Wished they could get louder when we had them at the crowded loud carnival at the county fair. Still, they do as well as could be expected for under [...] bucks. Keep backup of AAA batteries with you, because you don't get much warning that they're wearing down.

want just somethin' to 'get 'er done?
don't expect miracles but if you have a standard job for this thingy
it will definitely be a 'best choice'
please don't fry eggs on it and it will last!

2 out of 5 stars Terrible   October 5, 2008

Horrible walkie talkies..Can get a range of 1/4 very clear, after that nothing. Avoid unless buying for your kids or for outside play. They are small and light, too bad they do not work very well (12 range range is complteley absurd, unless maybe you are on top of a mountain range calling down base camp. I doubt they even work then!)
