| Customer Reviews:
not as advertised/check measurements! March 17, 2008 I just received this item and was very unhappy. The case is a nice leather piece but the dimensions posted are not accurate. This barely makes it to 8 X 5 plus...The case itself actual measurements are 2.75 by 5.25. The depth is about 1.75. So, I do not what they were thinking, it is certainly misleading.
I was planning to put my nuvi 200 with the cables and this is not even close to anything they advertised.
Simple and effective. February 15, 2007 I bought my Quest for my motorcycle, but now that I'm traveling quite a bit the Quest has become a necessary companion for rental cars, finding restaurants, gas stations, etc. As such I've found a need to carry the Quest in my computer case. This carrying case does the trick very well - it is very simple - a black leather case and a zipper, but effective at keeping the Quest portable - it fits very snugly around the unit - and offering some cushion protection, especially over the screen. It's high quality - I've had mine for over a year now and it's held up to some regular abuse. I'm able to shove the Quest in my bag and forget about it.
I recently ordered the Quest II and bought a second case for it as well.
Carrying case for Garmin QUEST 2 GPS November 10, 2006 The case is great! The QUEST 2 unit fits snuggly and appears to be well-protected, but I haven't tried dropping it from any dizzying heights, though!! The reason I didn't score it a 5 is that there is no simple way to hook it to one's belt, as with most cellphone pouches. I don't think to have it swinging freely would be practical, especially if one is out in the bush.
Would I buy another case? I don't know. I DO know, though, what I'd be looking for in my research, this time.
Fits Quest 2 perfectly.. November 4, 2006 I have the Quest 2, but I've heard that this also fits the Quest. I bought it because, while my Dell laptop backpack is well padded, I wanted to make sure that my Quest 2 GPS was protected "just in case". This case fits perfectly, literally like a glove. When I got it, I was sceptical; it looked to small, but I was wrong; the dimensions are perfect. And there is more than enough padding to protect the GPS from harm, yet it is small enough to stick in a jacket pocket, which I sometimes have to (late day meetings where I leave my backpack at work). All in all, it's another great product from Garmin.
