Decent Mike August 18, 2008 A decent microphone with a cool form-factor, useful for all kinds of audio apps, Skype, iChat, etc.
Voice recognition and dictation microphone. February 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The MicFlex USB mic works best with voice recognition or dictation software. It's best feature is the "flex." You can bend it into almost any position and adjust it until you find your own "sweet-spot" for speaking. (Off to the side of your mouth works best.) I bought the MicFlex for my Mother who could no longer type and absolutely did not want to wear one of those head-mics. I would not recommend the MicFlex for any kind of high-end recording application.
Not for Garageband December 28, 2006 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
The design of this microphone is very nice and convenient, simple plug & play. However, the sole reason it was purchased was to use with Garageband, and that is where the problem is - it will not work. The MacMice website is very poor, very little info on the products, no discussion forums, and was no help what so ever. I scoured the web looking for info on MicFlex & Garageband & microphones, but came up with nothing. I contacted MacMice through email, explained my situation and the only answer I got was: "Please test your Mic in the Sounds control panel, Garageband is tricky at best. I am sure it is working properly." Not very helpful. I had already explained in my e mail that I in fact had tested it in the control panel and it did work, but I need it for garageband - where it will not work. So for price & design, I think this is a fairly decent product, but if you are getting it to use with Garageband, I recommend looking further for somethign that is proven compatible, otherwise you will be aggravated with the dearth of information & help available.
