Product Description Professional Manual Turntable
Amazon.com Product Description An affordable option for listeners who value high-end sound but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars, the Pyle PLTTB1 belt-drive turntable makes both classic LPs and modern vinyl sound like new. The device includes such features as a weighted "S" tonearm that tracks beautifully, dual playback speeds (33-1/3 and 45 rpm), and an adjustable pitch control of +/- 16 percent. The turntable also boasts a stroboscope lamp that shines on the outside-edge markings, making it easy to make precise speed adjustments. And should you need to quickly stop or start the platter, simply press the integrated start/stop switch and it's done. Other features include a nicely balanced counterweight, an anti-skating function, and a dustcover that protects the platter from dirt and debris. The PLTTBI also comes with a cartridge, stylus, and 45 rpm adapter, and measures 16.93 by 4.72 by 14.57 inches (W x H x D). What's in the Box Turntable, dustcover, cartridge, stylus, 45 rpm adapter, user's manual.

Very Nice for the Price June 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item is great for the price. I purchased it for my father this past Christmas and it is still going strong. I have two complaints: the stand and cover are both plastic which makes it a little less attractive and when we received it the hooks that keep the cover on were broken. I never bothered to return it, but if I had they seemed to have a pretty good policy.
Has the looks, not the substance July 13, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pyle of junk, really. Only has the looks of its bigger cousins, not the substance - not even for a low-end turntable. Everything about this product is flimsy: speed is off, stylus sits crooked, base is way too light. You're much better off with the entry-level Technics SLBD20D for just over $100. One of those lasted me for over 12 years, it's a well-built machine that doesn't pretend to be more than it is, and actually delivers more than you would expect at first.Panasonic Technics SLBD20D Semi Automatic Turntable

may be too cheap September 9, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought mine to digitize my LP collection, so I did not need something that would last a long time. It does the job but a few disappointments: - the stylus died after only a few hours of playing (less than 10), fortunately this is easily replaceable - in my case the right channel is somewhat attenuated compared to the right channel and no amount of fudging with the anti-skate improved things. This can be compensated on your stereo by playing with the channel balance on your amplifier or on your computer by amplifying the one channel with the recording software (audacity in my case).
So no show stopper so far, just annoying defects that come with the cheap construction. On the other hand it's nice to have all these controls (speed, weight, anti-skate) and my kids think it's way cool (for once).
In conclusion, if you want a keeper, you might want to stick to a brand name and dish a few more bucks. If you need a turntable for a temporary usage, and are ready to compromise quality for price, then this one will do.
Excellent March 21, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Comes with a good cartridge and needle, comes with a plastic top, with weight changing and anti skating. Other people seem to have problems with the shipping, but i had no problems. The plastic was not warped. It is 62% off, this is probably as good as the expensive ones. Make sure you get a preamp for this, it does not have one buit in.
