The GE Smart Water Filter (GSWF) fits only the very newest GE Arctica refrigerators with the flip down filter compartment, including GTS18KHP, GTS18SHP, GTS22KHP, GTH22SHP, PTS22LHP, PTS22SHP, PTS25LHP, PTS25SHP, PDS20MCP, PDS20SCP, PDS22MCP, PDS22SCP. It improves the taste and odor of the water and removes the following impurities: 99% of Lead, 99.99% of Cysts, 76% of Atrazine, 99% of Lindane, 97% of Chlorine taste and odor, 99% of Turbidity, 99% of Sediment, Particulates (Class I). GE recommends that you replace the filter every 6 months if your refrigerator is not equipped with a filter status indicator light OR if your refrigerator has a filter status light, the filter should be changed when the light comes on or after one year, whichever comes first OR if the refrigerator has not been used for more than two weeks (for instance, during a move) OR if you notice a decrease in the flow of water or objectionable tastes in the water or ice.
