I returned this unit about 30 minutes after opening it. The packaging looks nice, but is not sufficient for shipping, so the unit arrived scratched and scuffed. It may be possible for the unit to operate on your existing doorbell wiring, I did not get that far, but you will still need an outlet near by for the power adapter. It includes wires that are much heavier than standard doorbell leads. They are roughly equivalent to medium-grade speaker wire, or 2-conductor power cords. I connected the unit using this supplied wire and it (very unreliably) functioned. When it did work, it would chime the bell and start the monitor, but there was no way to get the microphones to work. Most of the time nothing would happen when you pushed the bell button on the outside camera unit. The picture is provided via a very small CRT projector, so the picture quality is poor, the contrast isn't very good and it was blurry. I expected this to be a cheap product, but this did not even approach my low expectations.

THE PRICE IS THE BEST YOU CAN OBTEIN IN THE MARKET,AND THE QUALITY IS VERY GOOD, IN EXTERIOR ASPECT AND IN FUNCTIONS, LIKE THE INCREASE IN MONITORS IN THE SYSTEM AND THE DOORSTRIKE COMAND TROUGTH THE SAME TWO WIRES IS GENIAL.
