Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
The Stroboflip is an ultra-compact, "gripless" flash rotating bracket that circles the camera unobtrusively while maintaining an over-the-lens flash position. The unique design lets you hold the camera rather than a bracket grip, making it easy to rotate the flash for horizontal or vertical composition. In addition, the stress and weight of the flash unit is transferred from the light-duty camera shoe to the rugged Stroboframe mount, adding stability. And thanks to the strong, lightweight aluminum construction--which features a baked-on finish--the Stroboflip is remarkably durable through the years. Perfect for shoe-type flash units, the Stroboflip works with all 35mm SLR and smaller 6 x 4.5mm cameras and comes with a machined, positive-locking shoe mount and a 35mm anti-twist plate. Specifications include a nominal lens-to-flash distance of 7.5 inches, a bracket height of 5.5 inches, a net weight of 9 ounces, and a five-year warranty.

Product Description
The Stroboflip is an ultra-compact, "gripless", flash rotating bracket. It cradles the camera unobtrusively while maintaining an over-the-lens flash position. Itsdesign lets you hold the camera rather than a grip, and rotate the flash for horizontal or vertical composition. An additional advantage is that the stress and weight of the flash unit is transferred from the light-duty camera shoe to the rugged Stroboframe mount. The Stroboflip is made for shoe-type flash units.

3 out of 5 stars stick with small format   April 8, 2008
It does what it's designed to do, but put hands on it if you can before buying.

There is a lot of wiggle on the flash-head, but that's standard across most brackets in this class. Here's what to watch out for before buying:

1) Notice the bracket extends forward from the bottom of the camera - if you usually hold your barrel from below, you will need to be ready to change that.

2) In deference to the above reviews - the height of the flash mount does adjust in the vertical plane. You can adjust it via philips screws to rest above your sensors and such. It DOES NOT adjust in the horizontal plane. If you use large lenses, you may have clearance issues (it rests directly against the focus ring of an EF 85 1.2)

5 out of 5 stars Great Flash Bracket   February 8, 2008

This a small form factor for a flash bracket. The advantages for this are: 1. Can hold onto camera for a steadier grip. 2. Takes up less room in a camera bag. 3. Professional looking. 4. Lighter weight.

Too bad the one reviewer did not read the directions, other wise he would have been able to use it with his camera. There is a height adjustment for the exact purpose he needed.

Great item, I like it!

2 out of 5 stars A little too small   March 30, 2007

This product was recommended to me by an online photo store. I was excited to get it an try it out but the top of the bracket blocked my sc-29 sensor. If the distance between the bottom of the bracket to the top was 1/2" more it would have worked perfectly. This will be heading back for another bracket.

Anyone looking for a bracket for a D70S with an SB-800 and SC-29 make sure to get a larger bracket.

I'm sure I would have rated it higher had it fit properly.
