Product Description Manufactured in Japan from the highest quality optical glass and built to Sunpak's exacting standards, Sunpak PicturesPlus Filters are available in a comprehensive range of sizes and application types. Sunpak PicturesPlus Filters have been designed to help maximize virtually every photo opportunity, by improving image impact and quality. Sunpak PicturesPlus Filters include the essentials, such as polarizing, ultraviolet and skylight to color balancing, neutral density, black and white correction, special effects, enhancements and close-up lenses. These will all help bring excitement and quality to what might otherwise be ordinary images. The ultraviolet UV filter improves contrast and color saturation by reducing the effects of ultraviolet light and atmospheric dust and haze in sunny landscapes, including mountain, marine and aerial scenes. Can be used in combination with polarizer for stunning scenics, or to protect the front lens element from dirt, fingerprints, and scratches.

Cheap but has limitations January 22, 2008 This filter offers cheap protection for your lens but not much else. I've never heard of Sunpak but decided to try it out since it was cheap. After using it at an indoors event I see its limitations. Lack of multi coating caused reflections of strong light sources in the images. A projected image in a dark room was reflected upside down in another area of the photo.
Have not tried direct sunlight, strong daylight photos yet.
It is what it is December 12, 2007 Purchased for my Panasonic DMC-FZ8 and fits perfectly.
It allows the lens cover to be attached and does not interfere when using the lens hood. It can be left on the camera permanently with no reason to take it off. Does a great job of protecting the camera lens.
Quality packaging protected it well in shipping.
No defects noticed in the glass.
effective and inexpensive lens protection August 9, 2007 I put UV filters on all my lenses to protect them. It's an inexpensive way to save your expensive glass from scratches, dust, bumps and falls. This filter is clear and defect free and does the above job fine. Don't expect more than that.
Think before you buy it. April 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very decent UV filter. I bought it just because of the FREE SHIPPING. It came in nice packing but the filter itself has some tiny dirt spots on it that cannot be removed. It is cheap but I wish I would have spent more on a higher quality filter.
Does the job well, March 12, 2007 So far I haven't noticed any artifacts, so it works! My only complaint: its a bit thick.
