Product Description Give your camera's harsh pop-up flash a makeover! The Puffer flash diffuser gives you the same flattering lighting style used by professionals. The Puffer simply slides into your camera's flash shoe and places the diffuser in front of your pop-up flash. The diffuser softens the light which gives you much better color and softer shadows, an all together better shot in a flash! Good Investment for Beginners September 5, 2008 This was recommended to me by my local camera shop. I would give it a 5 star b/c it has made all my portrait pictures look better, but the quality of the build is flimsy & brittle. I wouldn't mind paying a little more for this as long as the brackets are made of metal or a sturdier material than what it's made of now. I'm on my 2nd one, the first one lasted me about 3 months with only weekend use. It's cheap so I dont mind buying..I might actually just make my own bracket. Overall, if you're budget cant afford you a flash or if you want something small & easy to bring around I highly recomend this.
Puffer Defuser September 3, 2008 i had picked this defuser over the others that had been offered on amazon. After just playing around with it in my house taking pictures of my family, i am very satisfied with this. It isn't "flimsy", it does take a little bit of pressure to get the parts together, but that also makes sure they won't fall apart halfway through a shoot. The proof of the product is in the prints makes the skin tone of poeple and the color of objects more accurate and less washed out.
broke the first time it got bumped August 23, 2008 this worked great but the brittle plastic broke the first time I gently bumped it while it was on the hot shoe. no way to glue, it splintered. pretty much a waste of money.
Super Puffer August 21, 2008 The puffer is really superb. It is a very nice flash diffuser for the pop-up flash. makes the skin tone of the subjects look more natural. It looks good too on the camera.Buy now before prices go up!
great for popup flashes August 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this for use on a new Pentax K200d. It fits fine and softens harsh flash effects at close range. It doesn't seem flimsy to me, but as a previous reviewer stated it's only plastic. Mine fits tight in the hotshoe, but seems to be loosening up a little with use. I simply insert it in the 'shoe until it's snug and not necessarily all the way in. My only criticism so far is since it's fairly rigid it's a little inconvenient to carry in a small bag. It does fit in a shirt pocket while not on camera.
Highly recommended for improving the camera's popup flash effect.
