From the Manufacturer Dual autoreverse lets you copy both sides of a tape with the press of a button, or relay-play both sides of two tapes without interruption. The deck also includes Dolby B and C noise reduction to effectively eliminate tape hiss, auto-spacing to insert blank spaces between songs, high-speed dubbing, rec-level control, CD synchro recording, 8-segment peak level meters, an auto tape-bias selector, and a 4-digit electronic tape counter. Key Technology Feature: RI (Remote Interactive): With Onkyo's exclusive RI (Remote Interactive) system capability, you can integrate and operate all compatible components through a single remote control. What's more, RI capability enables you to simply connect the iPod to your receiver through Onkyo's RI Dock for the iPod (DS-A1). Your iPod effectively becomes another Onkyo component from which you can relish a fuller sound that just can't be experienced through headphones. RI capability will also give you remote operability of your iPod for hands-off control over your digital music.
Product Description auto-reverse record/play (deck B) and auto-reverse play (deck A) * Dolby B & C * normal/high-speed dubbing * relay play * frequency response (?3dB) 30-17,000 Hz -- metal tape *

Just what I wanted July 23, 2008 I needed a replacement for a cassette player/recorder that I had used for 10 years. It was old and deterorating and needed to be retired. Your item was exactly what I wanted and it responded precisely as I wished. The price was certainly the best I found. Thank you
NEED A TAPE DECK July 14, 2008 Onkyo TARW255 Dual well Tape Deck The deck was a little larger than I expected. I tried hooking to my computer but didn't get a good copy on my computer using VISTA media copy. I hooked this deck to my home sound system and found that my old cassette tapes produced excellent sound with this player. With the dual deck and auto reverse my copy idea was replaced by listening to my old cassettes on my good sound system. I am pleased with the player.
WORST ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! July 10, 2008 Horrible deck coupled with atrocious service. Within the first month, it ceased working and Onkyo told me it was a problem of theirs. Thankfully, instead of having to mail it at my expense to an authorized repair center, Amazon exchanged the deck. Two months later, same problem. Customer service was cold, clearly not interested in my problem and handed me the standard answer. Now I have have to pay $20 or more to ship a deck that cost me a bit over $100. I would never buy an Onkyo product again. This could not have been a worse experience, and waste of money. Just horrible!
works fine, but nothing special July 6, 2008 we only bought this since we have an onkyo AV receiver and it integrates the controls/on off etc. Its a low end deck we only use for simple tape playback or dubbing, can't think of anything special about it except its cheap
good but no phone jack June 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A solid performer, no complaints except for the lack of a phone jack--which, alas, is true of most tape decks in this price range. Only means that you have to hook it up to an amp to listen. Onkyo TARW255 Dual well Tape Deck
