 Great Product, highly recommend them August 11, 2008
These speakers are great, they work perfectly throughout the house (70-80 feet away atleast) and outside as well. I like that they have seperate volume control so you don't have to go to the source to turn volume up or down.

Great Speakers For The Price!! August 1, 2008
I must admit after reading some of the reviews on here I was extremely skeptical about purchasing these speakers. I went to a local B.B. to see if they had them, they did, but the display was not operational. I asked the sales person if they knew anything about them. They said they were good speakers and that their parents had some in their RV and loved them. Still, not actually being able to listen to them myself I was unsure. At the B.B. store they wanted $199.99 for them. I thought that was a bit steep for something I wasn't sure I would like. So I took the plunge and spent more than 50% less here.
When they arrived I immediately hooked them up to my computer, as I use my computer all my music, I just wanted a way to enjoy my music on my deck in the summer without blasting the music so loud inside to hear it. Simple setup, paired with the transmitter immediately.
For the price range I feel they are a good deal the sound is great. I haven't turned them up all the way so I am not sure if there is any distortion that occurs at high volume. I generally only turn it up as loud as maybe a third to half way that is plenty loud, especially since I have them on shelves on my exterior wall at about 6'6", well above the height of an average person for listening.
I am not sure why people would mark this product down simply because it requires batteries or an outlet. Or the fact that is takes so many batteries for the speakers.
I believe most people who are looking for wireless speakers are doing it for the same reason I did. So you could listen to your music in another area of your house from one source, without drilling holes in your walls and feeding wire. The speakers have to be powered somehow, I don't see the big deal in having to plug them in. If you want to have wireless printing, do you not still need to plug your printer in?
All in all great product for the price. Just wish you could get singular or a pair of speakers to add to it with out having to get another transmitter.
I highly recommend these speakers, heck even my mother got some for her house after hearing mine.

These speakers have great sound range and volume. They can be used up to 100 -150 feet depending on walls etc. Only drawback is the rechargable batteries to use these speaker wireless cost almost as much as the speakers. Otherwise, they can't be beat. I now own 3 sets.
 HTS Side-Channel Speakers July 23, 2008

I got these speakers to use as side/rear channel speakers for my HTS, as I have no way to run wires unless I tear up the walls. They replace a pair of RCA wireless speakers I got from RS some years ago that went TU.
Add 2 barrel RCA connectors from RS to the supplied cables and they connected to the speaker connection wires I fabricated for the RCA speakers. Plugged in and tested OK.
The only drawback appears to be that if the speakers don't have any sound coming to them for a while, the shut down and take a while to come back up. I don't know how this will be for surround sound. I plan to test with the sniper scene from Saving Private Ryan. I will update my review when I see how it goes. For now, I'm giving 4 stars. If my test goes OK, I may upgrade to 5.
wireless speakers July 19, 2008
Speakers work well-not as good a sound quality as wired, but very easy to set up and use. Seller extremely helpful in changing shipping address and speakers arrrived within a few days
